Angry_Gumball Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 So today, we took a family trip down to Monterey for the day to just enjoy a relaxing day at the ocean. First started off on the 17 mile drive, which we just rode from Pacific Grove on down to Carmel to just enjoy the scenery and get some photos. Next up was Carmel Beach, where I decided to try skimboarding at a 'real' beach complete with 4-foot waves. Let's just say that I need to learn to ride a skimboard. And you thought Grizzly at Great America was rough? Try body surfing (Without boogie board) and getting eaten alive by the wave. (Ouch, got a sand rash on the belly as I got sanded down). We ended the day at the Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey for the souvenir routine. I know I could be more descriptive but pictures will do the job. Actually, that's a fire pretty close to my aunt's house. Anyway, this is the end...thanks for viewing/reading! Comments appreciated. On the way home, someone had a huge gas problem and couldn't hold it much longer! It's that creepy fortune teller from Tom Hank's "Big." His eyes followed people walking by. Yay! Fisher-person's Wharf (Trying to be politically correct here) She's about to get pwn3d!11!one!1! Again, an idea of how the surf conditions were...perfect! See? Aren't I good? Yay! We made it! (Now, time for some professional skimboarding!) Signature shot of Carmel Beach, our destination, through the trees! Woa...dude, that guy with the camera scared me! Is it safe to come back out yet? Yea? Waddya want? Wait a sec! Found something Elissa-Friendly! I dedicate the Lone Cypress to the sad & pathetic single riders out there! (Unique never taken picture of the Lone Cypress) Splash mountain Obligatory group photo. Came out good I must say. Sure may look high, but only took me about 20 seconds to get to the peak of it. Random shell with random stuff on a random rock taken at a random time for a random Photo TR for a random website. King of the hill? This rocks! Talk about a rough area... Tag! You're it! (My cousin getting pwned by sea weed) Sea Weed Fight!!! (A beach tradition for us!) An example of how the surf was today...I'd say that that's a decent skimmable wave though I can't ride them yet. California's all about those nice sunny beaches... Sure, the weather looks fine outside. The beginning of the 17 Mile Drive
