Team Thriller Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Sorry that I don't have pictures, but my camera isn't being a friend right now. But don't worry, I'm going to have a mini-Europe update with the following parks: (All with pictures) Europapark Phantisialand Tripsdrill Heide Park Walibi Belgium (A new one) And since I just got back home from my coast to coast theme parks, I'll have some mini updates with those as well. The problem is, my camera was being stupid again on some of them. So only two will have pictures: Busch Gardens Europe Fun Forest But don't worry, they following parks will be: Busch Gardens Europe Fun Forest Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Six Flags Magic Mountain Disneyland and Universal Studios, Hollywood. Anyways: Here's my first review: Walibi Belgium. Walibi Belgium is on of those smaller parks, but yet have some nice rides. This used to be Six Flags Belgium, but was sold to Five Star Parks, then was sold to someone else, now I don't know who owns it now. When my group entered, we would go to Vertigo (There newest coaster) but it was closed. So we went to Werewolf, instead. Werewolf: A very nice Vekoma woodie. Much smoother than some of Vekoma's steels. If you sit in the way back of the green train, you'll get some of the best airtime and one of the wildest rides. 8/10 Vampire: A typical SLC. In the back of this one, it is surprisingly fun. But still jerky. 6/10 Cobra: Vekoma Boomerang. Wonderfully intense in the way back. 8/10 Turbine: This Anton Schwarzkopt coaster is very intense. It launches riders through one inversion in the dark, blasts out onto the spike, and falls backwards through the inversion, back through the station, and up onto a second spike. It doesn't travel up the spikes all the way, but it still is one of the parks best. The front is almost more fun then the back, due to the G-force. 8/10 Coccinelle: A very, very, very, small kiddie coaster. Nice for little folks. Some one asked me to ride with their child. (In English!!!) I said YES!!! .5/10 Calamity Mine This makes Colorado Adventure look like a masterpiece (It was fun, though). This Vekoma coaster usually has the most stupidest line in the park. Unless they have more than one train running, or there is no line. Skip this one. It's fun, but yet very jerky. 6/10 Here are some more ratings: Rides - 7/10 Food - 5/10 Staff - 6/10 Beauty - 8/10 Overall rating: 7/10 Thanks for reading and sorry for no pics. But don't worry, they are coming.
thomas2 Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Interesting report! A very nice Vekoma woodie. Much smoother than some of Vekoma's steels. If you sit in the way back of the green train, you'll get some of the best airtime and one of the wildest rides. Huh are we talking about the same coaster here? I find Werewolf rough. The turn after the first drop is just painfull if you sit in the front. The rest of the track is also quite rough IMO. But you're right about the airtime. It's great
Flintscape Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Hey, great pics James. P.S. When are you going to Heide Park? because I want to meet up with you. Remember Europa Park? That was the most fun I had because you made it so cool. Anyways. Stay cool, James!!!! (Team Thriller) And tell the team I said hi.
Team Thriller Posted September 3, 2007 Author Posted September 3, 2007 Sure...But of you go there, you should also go to Tripsdrill with us. Because those are back to back parks. Call me for more info
