The Raven Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 A new park has started to be built near where I live. So far all I know about the park, is that it is going to be called Pine Grove Theme Park. Today I went done to see the construction and to a couple of pictures. It looks like the entrance is finished and they have started started on construction behind it. I also heard a rumor that a ride will interact with the entrance building. Here are the pictures. SCR116.BMP Nice brick pathway and landscaping. SCR115.BMP I like the cottage look of the entrance.
Steffen_Dk Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Great buildings It sounds good that a coaster will be near the entrance - I guess the interacting ride is a coaster But can't wait to see more..
The Raven Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 Today I went to the park because they had a pro-opening/ media event. Not all the rides are built yet, but they did have a roller coaster and ferris wheel open so we could ride them. Wolverine, the coaster, was really fun. It had a good amount of airtime, a couple of head choppers, and a fun helix. The roller coaster does interact with the entrance, which I think is very cool. I think the park looks really cool so far. Here is the list of rides that are being built for the opening. Steffen_Dk Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Wolverine looks like a fun coaster. Could we see the whole layout?
Kingbooba Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Looks awesome. I really like Wolverine's station and the entrance. The Wilderness Wheel doesn't look very good though. It needs more trees.
coastercrazed49 Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 Looks good so far. I love how Wolverine goes right over the entrance. I do have to agree the Ferris Wheel needs more trees or scenery.
The Raven Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 Grand Opening Well today I went to the park for its Grand Opening. I just can't get over how sweet the entrance looks with Wolverine over it. The whole park is in dense woods. Most of the rides are hard to see from the main pathway. Muskrat was a fun little coaster, just like all the other wild mouses, though Wolverine is still the best coaster in the park. I did notice the lack of water rides at the park, which could be a disaster on hot days. I got to talk to the park manager and he said they plan on building different themed areas with this first area called the Wilderness. Here are the pictures from today. Steffen_Dk Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 10 stars to Wolverine. It's an extreme good looking coaster you've made there, and I love the turnaround. Btw. Is it me, or do wooden coasters look better in RCT2 than RCT3 woodies??
coastercrazed49 Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 ^Yeah I think they do. Great Park so far still seams far from done though. Wolverine looks absolutly awesome I wish it were real!
The Raven Posted June 25, 2007 Author Posted June 25, 2007 Year 2 Not much happened in this off season. All the park did was build a go- kart track. The park has become really popular and they are going to go ahead of their plan and build a new themed area to open by next summer. Here are some pictures of the go- kart track. Steffen_Dk Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 If I were you, I would make the go-karts go over some small hills.
Hattuchili Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Not bad so far. I really miss RCT2 I had no chance to play for more then a year. I am looking forward to more pictures. --Soren

The Raven Posted July 9, 2007 Author Posted July 9, 2007 Year 4 For phase two of Coloma the park has built a mine train style roller coaster called Prospector. It is a fun little, family coaster with some nice theming to it. The park also announced that they are building a S&S combo tower in Coloma to open next year. So here are the pictures. Steffen_Dk Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 You have some quite massive buildings there - GREAT And btw. I love your buildings style at the main street.. I really think you should keep on building buildings in that style
The Raven Posted July 10, 2007 Author Posted July 10, 2007 Year 5 For this year the park has built an S&S combo tower called T.N.T. It has three towers and two of the towers shoot the car up and the other tower pulls the car up and then drops it. T.N.T. is located behind the amphitheater. Here are some pictures SCR155.BMP Looks like a new B&M for next year. SCR158.BMP The Whole Ride SCR157.BMP Base of the Towers SCR156.BMP The Queue.
The Raven Posted July 15, 2007 Author Posted July 15, 2007 Year 6 For the park's 6th year they built a new B&M dive coaster called Apparition. It is located in the Coloma section of the park. It is only 150 feet tall but has a 180 foot drop that goes underground. It also has one vertical loop, the first for a dive coaster. The coaster is themed to a haunted mine. Here are the pictures. The Raven Posted August 6, 2007 Author Posted August 6, 2007 Sorry it has been so long. Lately I have been busy and not really posting what I have built. In this update I have built a new section, which is Spain. It has three rides plus a new roller coaster. I have also built a new roller coaster in the Wilderness section of the park. I'm not strong in Spanish, so if my Spanish is wrong please correct me. Comments and suggestions are welcome.
