scud Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Ok, I'm going to Cedar Point this month, and I'd like to know what time TTD lines are usually the shortest. Maverick will probably have epic lines any time of day, or I'd ask about it too.
Carnage Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Dragster will have a long line of 1 hour+ all day long. There is no time to ride Dragster that is better then another. Just hit it when it's decent weather out and hope that it doesn't break down on you.
shepp Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Does CP have the Express Pass handstamp program again? I heard they discontinued it, but if it's been reinstated, that's a great idea for TTD. Other than that, your best bet: stay at a CP property for early entry, sprint to TTD, and pray it doesn't break down for 4 hours like it did when I did that. Remember that if they let you in line before closing, you will get to ride. At least, that's how it used to work.
Carnage Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 ^ Nope, no express pass system anymore. You can try going to Dragster first thing. However the line will move slower in the morning as the ride warms up. They only load the first few rows during the morning, and gradually add more rows as it warms up.
rollerdude Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 If you go on less crowded days, TTD could have anything from a 15 to 45 minute wait. Same with MF. Maverick on the other hand, will have 30 to 60 minute waits on these days. More crowded days, expect the lines to double, maybe even triple(if it really gets crowded). TTD shouldn't be as bad as everybody says.
Carnage Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Mid September MF and TTD will probably be about 30 minutes tops. Though at that time every other ride will be walk ons. The wild card however is the weather. TTD does not do well in cold weather. It needs warm dry weather to run nicely. So if it happens to be a cool, windy September day Dragster might not run at all, or if it does run experience alot of break downs/roll backs. If you find the weather is nice mid day, ride it before the weather has a chance to go sour.
Chris Benvenuto Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Carnage, TTD runs in anything except a total downpour rain. That is a true lie and you know it! I've been there in October and it was 21 degrees tops that day and it was running, it had a roll back every 4-5 launches, but it ran!
