coasterdude5 Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 I'm going back to the gulf coast this summer to visit family and see what's left of my old neighborhood in Long Beach, MS. We'll be staying for the most part in New Orleans and I was wondering if there was anyway to have someone grant you access into the park or if you could see enough from the road. I thought I had seen pictures from inside the park from a while back but those could have been from the parking lot or something similar to that. My question is does anyone know who I would need to contact or should I just skip it. I am aware that the people who are overseeing the park are probably very busy with sorting things out with insurance, so I do not want to be causing any problems. Thanks for any help, I realize this is a shot in the dirt but heck, it's worth a try.
spaceace12 Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 just skip it, no one will let you in. The park is in ruins, the only viable ride left is gone. No reason to go in even if Six Flags would let you.
raiden Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Chalmette(where SFNO is located) still looks like a ghost town. The parking lot of SFNO is full of FEMA traillers(last time i drove by). I dont ever see it opening again in NOLA. Its very eerie looking.
