IceDragon
This year, my family is going over the top! We may be to Russia! We're being super-stupid and driving through Europe (WHAT THE HELL???), so it's going to take a long time. We're going to try and persuade my parents to allow us to go to a few theme parks on the way and while in Russia. What European theme parks should we try to hit while on the way? There's no route yet, but if we should see a sign, what should we aim for? Thanks in advanced, IceDragon
FLIPDUDE
well I dont know where youre driving FROM but I know theres this park in Russia that seems relaly really awsome, its called Wonder Island and I personally would love to go there. its got a screaming squirrel, an enclosed spinning coaster, and an AWSOME mine train! go to RCDB and search "russia" itll show you all the russian theme parks that ar eont he database(id imagine there are a ocuple that arent) Look at that first drop! There are a couple other awsome ones. plusI heard theres like this extremely old, tiny, stalin - oriented park in the middle of some park. not sure in what town, but I can check
IceDragon
Already had a look... It looks awesome! I really hope we get to go there... We're probably going to drive from England, Ferry over to Belgium or France, through Germany, Poland and Denmark. It's a massive trek, Denmark and France have nothing, Germany has Europa Park, and Poland, I've only just started searching for . Hopefully there'll be something mega *edit* Poland has nothing. its not fair... Unless we go through Norway! :D
FLIPDUDE
^I seriously doubt it. And since whend oes France have nothing? Did Eurodisney, Park Asterix and that 4D movie park get wiped off the face of the earth or something?

exmouse
Denmark has some fantastic parks. Bakken and Tivoli are both great half day parks with classic Scenic Railways and modern stuff too. Both well worth doing if you are in the area. If you have time Bonbonland is good for a Benny Hill style day out. Talking of France what about Nigoland, don't they have quite a few roller coasters? As for Russia, I'm in the plaaning stage of a big trip there visiting Moscow and St Petersburg. There are quite a few small parks but the main ones appear to be Gorky Park and Divo Ostrov. The trip I'll be doing involves 5 days in Finland before getting a train to St Petersburg.
the sound
Sounds like a fun trip, but just a couple of things: I can't see how you can possible go through Denmark, or for that matter, Norway. It's nowhere near an obvious route to Russia. Also, France has Parc Asterix, Wallibi, Parc Saint Paul parks and Euro Disney. Denmark has (As mentioned before) Bakken and Tivoli park and several other good looking ones. I would suggest that you Catch a ferry to France, then drive through Paris Etc, then through Southern Germany (Europa Park, Cool little towns, Neuschwanstein Castle)/Switzerland ( Cute Mountains and stuff), through Austria (Weiner Parter, Salzburg, really cute towns), Through Hungary (Vidam Park, Budapest is quite Beautiful I've heard) and then through Ukraine, seeing all the sights there and through to Russia. Then, on the return trip, you could Go via Scandinavia. You could leave from St Petersburg for example, and go North through Finland (Sarrkiniemi, Finland's probably cool), then down south through Norway and Sweden (Tusenfryd, Liseberg Grona Lund, for theme Parks). and then going down through Denmark and Northern Germany. Then going through the Low Lying countries and then a ferry back to England This is just a very vague suggestion, I'm not trying to run your Holiday! And, you know, it actually sounds really cool i think. Hmmm, maybe i should try doing this when I'm older. EDIT: I think i just broke my own post length record, BTW! XII
Denmark is home to the most infamous park on TPR, BonBonland. But try and hit Tivoli in Denmark, Europa in Germany, and Alton in England. But I've been to any of those places so I can't give you any true reviews. Enjoy your trip.
IceDragon
My parents don't seem to mind trekking across half of Europe... Surely there must be something scenic in Sweden and Denmark? Even if it is cultural. Already hit Alton... An amazing place, even if it is very over priced (in my opinion anyway). We've deffinately got one or two parks planned. The most deffinate is Efteling, purely because we'll all enjoy it, and the last time i went was when I was 3! The other possibility is Disneyland or Parc Asterix... Don't have a clue as to which is better... Ice 'I hope we do go to Russia' Dragon
the sound
From my Experience, i thought Parc Asterix was way better, but i only rode Big Thunder Mountain when i want to Disneyland.
