Tanks4me05 Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Ok, I'm going down to Florida during April Break. I'll be leaving on Sunday, the 8th, and I will be out at parks from April 9th - 13th. I am going to Boomers, Rapids Water Park, Cypress Gardens Adventure Park, Busch Gardens Africa, and Adventure Island. I have only been to Rapids before (technically Boomers also, but Dania Beach Hurricane and Blender were down, so I didn't bother to go in the gates) So, I need tips on all the parks except for Rapids. Boomers is on a Monday, Rapids on Tuesday, Cypress Gardens on Wednesday, Busch Gardens Africa on Thursday, and Adventure Island on Friday. I will give Photo Trip Reports and Videos for each park. Main questions: 1: How bad are the lines going to be on these days? 2: What should I ride first, second, etc. to avoid long lines? 3: What are the best seats for the coasters at the parks I am going to? 4: Where specifically are there good places to eat in the parks? 5: When is SheiKra getting the Floorless trains? 6: Is there a confirmed report as to if Gwazi will get Millennium Flyers? If so, when? 7: Do Dania Beach Hurricane and Blender at Boomers break down often? As I said before, my last attempt at Boomers failed because of that, and I have the ability to switch around Rapids and Boomer's visit days to allow for any repairs to be made. Also, please tell me anything else I should know about these parks, like some cool hidden features, or other things I have not mentioned yet. Kind of like that Blue Scarab in Revenge of the Mummy's queue that blasts air if you press it, or so I heard.
spaceace12 Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 I can answer some of those As for lines, when I was at Busch, the lines were semi short, 30 minutes was the longest I waited. Sheikra closes sometime in may, I think, and opens again in June. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=32926&highlight=sheikra+floorless
BarryH Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Cypress Gardens rarely has huge crowds, unless you're going a few hours before a concert. You shouldn't see waits more than 15 minutes for rides. Usually, you have to wait 1-2 trains for rides at the max. Unless you're going to Boomers on a Friday or Saturday night, you shouldn't have to wait more than 1 train for the Dania Beach Hurricane. It's usually in a 1 train operation. I've never seen it run 2 trains. BGA will probably be the most crowded. I've seen the parking lot fill up by 1 pm when I went last year during the 2nd week of April! The best tip is to arrive before park opening and hit all the rides you can with short waits. The parking lot usually opens about 30 minutes before the posted park opening. If you can, pay for preferred parking so you don't have to wait forever for a tram when the park closes. I haven't been to the 2 water parks you mentioned, but I assume Adventure Island will be pretty busy too.
