Vekoma Fan Boy Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I'm working on my NL skills, and i thought my best bet would be to get some select hard to make elements up here and get feedback. Now please note, DO NOT rate on the lift, drop, straight away, or brakes, just the hill up to the helix, the helix, and the double down afterwards. And for those of us without NL i'll post some pics later. Helix Test.zip
Calaway Park Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 The good o'l cheese method It was sort of.. semi-smooth but it was forceless and kind of pumpy.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 Uhhhh i get the kida pumpy part but whats with the forceless? It was ment for lateral force and it peaked at 1.2 or 1.3.
Blazen_AZN Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I've found the best way to do what you're trying to do is to go to the premade elements and select a normal helix, then change the node's heights up or down, and even split the segmants into two so you can do more. that way your helix is always pretty much a perfect circle.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 ^Yes but i want to make my own elements by hand, not by modifying somone eles's. No?

Guest Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Not at all. Look at Boss, Cornball Express, Hurricane Category 5. All those helices are WAY under banked and made only for laterals. Anyway VFB, what you have isn't bad. Work on the shaping a bit more, get ride of some pumps, and use more vertices and it should be good. It IS forceful though.
