coasterfan12 Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Does anyone have any ideas of what is going to happen to Wild Waves Enchanted Village? I know its been sold to PARC but what does that mean for the park? New Rides? New Shows? A slide or 2? Even a general park revamp would be nice. Any ideas? Thanks -CF12
SharkTums Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 I wouldn't expect anything new for the parks that were sold this year. I'm sure the new company wants to take a look at how all the parks do and what they need first.
carolinacaniac Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 I'm curious too about what will happen to good old Wild Waves coasterfan. I grew up in Seattle and Bremerton until 1999 when we moved here to NC. We went to Wild Waves pretty often, but I have yet to have been there since 1999. So I havn't done to 2002 additions or TimberHawk yet, but I am planning on going this summer when I visit my Dad in July! Â I was looking at Google Earth over the park, and there is still a decent amount of space they can use for expansion.
coasterfan12 Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 on google earth that pic is really old. The whole dirt area up at the tip of the park by the road is filled with rides. They have room but not up there -cf12
carolinacaniac Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 I know that there were new additions after this picture was taken, since Timberhawk would take up a chunck of the south area, but I still think there is space right beside the parking lot to the right of it (if you look at it with North facing the top. They could also move some of the parking from the bottom part of the pond or lake or whatever they want to call it, and make something that goes all the way around the lake. Just a few thoughts
coasterfan12 Posted February 6, 2007 Author Posted February 6, 2007 yeah there talking aboyut putting something in the parking lot and then building a parking grage. or something i think someting aroung the lake would be really cool. Â -cf12
carolinacaniac Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 What would you do with it? Â I would expand that little games area on the one side to make it kind of like a boardwalk, add a small ride or two near it, and on the park side you could put a stage for shows or concerts. Or maybe put a mid-sized coaster along side it.
coasterfan12 Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 they have a stage they set up and there is an ampitheater so they can do concerts. I really wish they would put something over the lake. A good mine train even would be good. -cf12
carolinacaniac Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I know this would more than likley out of their price range, but a B&M invert (BTR size, or maybe even a clone) where a potion of it is over the lake. I think that would be sweet! Or maybe if it would be cheaper, they could do an Intamin like the Tornado in Finland
odie Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Well i live near seattle and so I end up going to this park about 2 times every year. Timber hawk is pretty nice and has 2 nice air time drops and a couple of headchopers. Now that six flags sold wild waves idk if there will be any new rides for a while, but there still could be hope. Their last new ride was a water slide, zuma falls, but it was like a 30 second family raft ride and the line can get really long. That came out 2 years ago.
carolinacaniac Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Odie, Would you say that TimberHawk was a ride you would re-ride and enjoy or was it kind of a sleeper for you? I am excited about going out there this summer and seeing how it is.
odie Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Well its very short but it is pretty fun.. i usualy ride it about 3 times cause the line is so short but then again the best roller coaster i have been on before is california screamer and tremors (silverwood theme park, idaho) so my standerds probibly are not set as high as yours. But its fun for me.
carolinacaniac Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 well if anything the two rides you listed as your favorite are two I have yet to go on I don't know if it would be as good as El Toro, but It does look like it has a cool and original layout. When was it that you went when the line was really short? I think that my fiancee and I will be going on the 13th of July which is a friday (I will have my horseshoe with me ) and I wonder if there would be any lines really for the ride side on a friday or if it would pretty much all be at the water park like it has been the times I have been there.
odie Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Well I bet the max u will wait then is 4 trains so about 5 minutes haha. The lines are always short unless you go on fright fest, but the slides are the ones were u have to watch the lines.
carolinacaniac Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Sounds good to me! I really hope that when she and I are at the park it is on one of those rare "sunny washington" days But i guess it would not be the true Seattle experience if she doesn't get to see the rain (and boy does she hate rain!)
carolinacaniac Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I just saw on Screamscape that PARC may be considering renaming it to.........Wild Waves Theme Park (start sarcastic oooooo's and ahhhh's). I guess they are looking to drop the Enchanted Village part of the name. That should be interesting to see if this becomes true.
