SFMM and Holidays...

Everyone I ask tells me never go to SFMM on hoildays..it's packed! Well as it turns out 3 years in a row since 2002, I've been going to SFMM with my buddies on Martin Luther King Jr day, and Memorial Day and I gotta tell ya...it's pretty lite those days. Seriously can anyone else back me up on this?

 

And also of course I'll be at SFMM this coming memorial day (May 31st) so if anyone wants to meet up and say hello just let me know and I'll see what we can do...I hope people can go considering it's a holiday. It will be fun to see if Mr. and Mrs. Alvey can show up too... 8)

I can't say that I have been to SFMM on a holiday in recent years so I'm not a good judge.

 

I also know that Robb and Elissa will not be at SFMM on Memorial Day. Sorry.

Many years ago, my ex-wife and I went to SFMM on Cinco De Mayo, and the place was a tomb. In fact, we left like at 4 because we had ridden everything so many times we were sort of bored. I have no idea if it's like that now, and I'd certainly steer clear of the park if there's some sort of event or promotion that day, but we found that was a good time to visit.

 

I've been to other parks on Memorial/Labor day, and they do usually seem less busy than normal, especially later in the day when people leave to make their journey home from the weekend. Might be worth a shot...
