bgwfreak
Last Sunday I headed down to the beach to say my last farewell to the Pavilion as well as visit Family Kingdom. This TR will cover just the Pavilion. You've probably already read Robb's TR from earlier this year, so this will be my spin on the park. Enjoy! If you want to check out my full version pics go here: http://thumb3.webshots.net/t/57/657/7/34/82/2705734820054618143sncAWp_th.jpg And if that's not enough for you, check out my article I wrote for ThrillNetwork here: http://www.thrillnetwork.com/stories_view.php/1757/myrtle_beach_pavilion__goodbye.html Did I mention the lines were huge? And that's all for now. More to come! "Scary" Self-portrait. Haunted Hotel THROUGH THE HAIR! Grrrrrrrrrr! Welcome to the Haunted Hotel! Would you like Doom Service? Which way do we go? Mad Mouse was so mad about closing that he jumped in front of my shot of Top Spin. I TOLD you I didn't want to go on this ride!!! LOW CLEARANCE! Scramble? Definition - French for a poodle barking at the Moon. Even this guy takes a shot at Johnny. Things must be pretty tough for Johnny Depp these days. This guy is already trying to escape from the park before it closes. Argh! I'm the evil skeleton at Treasure Hunt! Gimme some candy! The pain has started already! Wiiiii! I love how enthusiastic the angels are on the German organ. LOL Riding a chicken on the carousel!!! This was the first ride I hit when I got in the park. The park was having "family appreciation day" and the all ride wristbands were $10. As a result it was PACKED. Hmmm...I sense great pain is nearby. I headed up to Grand Prix to get some pics since it had just closed the day before (see my album for those pics). Welcome to Myrtle Beach!
Scaparri
Nice TR Wes. I'm really a bit disappointed I didn't ride anything when I was at the park in July. My intention was to come back another day in the week, but we just simply ran out of time. It really was such a neat little park. Yeah, they were completely screwed for space, but it seemed to be a fairly popular place, and was really nice. I thought at least. But yeah, again, good TR. Guess it's time to move on and look forward to Hard Rock!
ParkTrips
LOL @ the Pavillion having lines. Man that place blows, I couldn't have ever tolerated crowds like that, cool photos!
bgwfreak
Time for Part 2. Here we start "Fun with cameras in the dark!" And last but not least...McDonald's through the Beetle! This truly was a TPR approved trip. 2 trips to McDonald's, 1 trip to Carrabba's but no donkeys this time. That tis all for now peeps. I HEART gas in South Carolina. Nice of them to have cheap gas as you head to the hurricane shelter. Any hotel that has a plasma in the breakfast room also gets high marks! Any hotel with Jimmy Dean at breakfast gets high marks from me. Yo. I am the big scary Fairfield at Myrtle Beach. Gimme some candy! Fun with VH1 at 4:00 am. Has anyone seen this video from Keane? It's almost like a mini rollercoaster! Awe! he's so cute! He hasn't grown up yet! (Just like Dan). Attack of the pillow people! Later at my hotel...in case you forget which hotel you're in when on the Jon, they place these convenient stickers on the TP. Time to make this a true TPR photo TR!! Carrabbas baby!!! Note the cool, although accidental "artsy" shot. Goodbye Pavilion. It was fun while it lasted. Hmmm...is this Six flags? Actually that's the 2nd shop they had earlier in the year with all the park closing stuff. (I'm assuming) Oooooooooooh Pretty! This was a great wave swinger. It was built about 10 feet above the midway and it was so much fun to wiz over peoples heads. The enterprise was really fun. I had never been on anything but the Schwarzkopf version until this one.
