Hercules Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Jeff - I'm pretty sure it wasn't due to the accident. I have a friend that I could ask about it that will know. I'm pretty sure they closed it due to it's poor upkeep. I'm not really sure what they are going to do with it. It seems odd that they are just letting it sit there. However, with the way that the management rumors are going up and down and side to side, maybe they don't want to make any big decisions until they know what is going to happen with the park itself. Who knows. And I have never seen anything where Jackrabbit was brown. As of my last visit last year it was completely white. EDIT - Not completely white - the paint is chipping off like a mother, but you get what I mean.
ParkTrips Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 All the rides ran at Max. trains with the exception of Jokers Jinx (Yellow train nowhere to be found) and Batwing. What day did you go? I was there both Friday and Sunday evenings and saw minimal operations, with Friday being terrible! The park was better than I had expected, with really only the operations being a major negative in my opinion. Pretty nice report, I too thought ROS had some pretty hardcore rattling going on. - Joe

pkdcoaster Posted August 29, 2006 Author Posted August 29, 2006 What day did you go? I was there both Friday and Sunday evenings and saw minimal operations, with Friday being terrible! I was there Friday morning (8-25-06) from 10:30-1 BUT I would not be surprised at all if the woodies had a train yanked off as there was no line at all (we actually got a reride in the front row) Hercules- if you check out Robbs video from 2001 (I believe) http://www.themeparkreview.com/photos/clementon/clementon.htm You can see that the track and handrails are white but the structure is brown also see my pics on the first page, it looks the same. JEFF
Hercules Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I'm sorry. I misunderstood. I thought that someone had said that the entire structure was brown at one point. I too just meant the entire track, not the entire ride. I was lucky when I went to SFA I guess. Of course, it was pouring out, but I was able to get on rides without a hassle at all, even though they were being run at minimal capacity.
