Hattuchili Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Heide Park Soltau 04/14/05 Part 1 Yesterday we were visiting Heide Park Soltau. It was my second coaster trip this year, but my first to Heide Park! The day started with really bad news, the Weather forecast said it will be raining the whole day. However, at the time we saw the Park, stopped the rain, and the sun started shining. The parking space was so empty, we only saw a few cars there. In the park the same, no people and no waiting time. First we started riding "Schweizer Bobbahn (Swiss Bobsled)". Second was "Big Loop (Vekoma - Steel Sit Down coaster)". The waiting line was so empty, that we rode this coaster 5 times without stopping! Next was "Limit (Vekoma - Inverted coaster)". Limit is my favorite Steel coaster at Heide Park. There we also had no waiting time and rode it 6 times without stopping. Then we rode "Colossos (Intamin - Wooden coaster)". Colossos is my favorite wooden coaster in Europe! Here some pictures: Yummy orange icecream. Great Airtime!!! Colossos Lifthill Colossos Limit Limit Big Loop Big Loop Big Loop No comment. Do you see the long waiting line??? hmm... yummy french fries, first breakfast Looks like Netherlands... Choo Choo How does it works? :? No cars, no guests.
Hattuchili Posted April 15, 2005 Author Posted April 15, 2005 Part 2 The Last coaster was "Grottenblitz (Mack - Steel kiddy coaster). That ride was so boring after Colossos! Next we made a little brake for lunch, and rode some water coasters. The "Scream" Tower was closed the whole day for a few maintenance. After that we were starting to ride Colossos, Limit and Bog Loop a few times again, until to the evening! It was a great day with so much fun and wonderful weather! Here some pictures: --Soeren Wonderful day at Heide park Soltau. Robb, do you remember??? Park overview / Schweizer Bobbahn, Big Loop, Limit Park overview / Colossos Park overview great day (me, Chris and Miriam) Scream Tower ^Grottenblitz is so boring... Grottenblitz
kenshinmac Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Looks like a nice day. Super empty days are always the best.
Shadowforce Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 You sure those are not lederhosen? Ahhh, I am really looking forward to Heide Park this summmer. How can a Vekoma SLC be better than an Intamin Giant Wooden coaster? :?
Hattuchili Posted April 15, 2005 Author Posted April 15, 2005 You sure those are not lederhosen? :? I am sure, no lederhosen in North-Germany! How can a Vekoma SLC be better than an Intamin Giant Wooden coaster? :? Limit is not really better, it is only my favorite Steel coaster in the Park and Colossos is my favorite Wooden coaster in Europe! (I correct it.) --Soeren
SharkTums Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Great TR! I'm glad the weather held out for you! Too bad Scream wasn't open or it looks like it would have been the perfect day! Elissa "LIMIT!!!!" Alvey
Hattuchili Posted April 15, 2005 Author Posted April 15, 2005 Yeah, the weather was very good. You know, at that morning I thought it will rain the whole day, but the weather god was so prudently with us. When I had ridden Limit a few times, I thought: "Why doesn´t it already can be June? Because Robb and Elissa would be there and ride Limit with me!" --Soeren "hope we have good weather in June" Schomburg
