jmicha Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 This is my recreation of the former (unfortunately) Puritas Springs Cyclone. The ride is designed to be as realistic as possible, so don't be surprised to see sudden transitions and many perfect radius hills and turns with zero transitions or straight track in between. The ride doesn't let up until the end where the train plummets down the final 90 foot drop into the ravine and slams riders into their seats before sending them skywards again and into the brake run. This ride was John Miller's answer to the question of why he was afraid of anything outside of out-and-backs. The ride lasted 30 years before ultimately being closed down along with the park in 1958. I hope you all enjoy your ride on what was considered one of the best terrain coasters ever to have existed. Puritas Springs Cyclone.nltrack Have fun! overview of ride
coasterdude5 Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Wow, that lost drop was unexpected! For some reason, none of the trees showed up...
Calaway Park Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 That last drop was the first "OMG" moment I've ever had on any NL coaster I've ridden.
jmicha Posted August 2, 2006 Author Posted August 2, 2006 Thanks you two. The last drop was one of the reasons I really liked this coaster and wanted to recreate it. Coasterdude, go to settings and make sure you have scenery turned on so that when you ride it, the trees show up.
thefitness Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Nice Recreation Ive never been on the coaster but it looks good to me! That last drop was awesome in the game i cant imagine what it would be like in real life!

Vekoma Fan Boy Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Isn't this the EXACT same coaster as on Negative -G?
jmicha Posted August 4, 2006 Author Posted August 4, 2006 Layout wise, yes, since they are recreations of the same ride. If you're referring to the track being stolen, you've got to be kidding me.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Okay its not, the one on -g the turn on the second hill is banked more, my bad!
