bisk Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 My wife and I are planning on going to Cedar Point for one of the weekends in September, as we expect it to be a little less busy than in August. We were hoping to go to the part on the Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday. Are there any hotel/park admin specials that we might be able to take advantage of (maybe CAA, I work for RBC Bank). We're from the Toronto, Ontario area so we'll have about a 5 hour drive there. Thanks guys!
Rollerholden Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 I'm sure people will reccomend Hotel Breakers which is located on Cedar Point property and you just walk to the park, but when we went we stayed at the Best Western which was very nice and just off of the peninsula, so it was a 5 minute drive to Cedar Point.
bisk Posted August 1, 2006 Author Posted August 1, 2006 It would be nice to be able to stay right by the park, so that we can either walk or take a bus and won't have to worry about parking. Also, we don't really need anything fancy (since we'll be at the park all day )
Carnage Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Breakers Express has packages that include park admission and parking. I always stay at BE now, as it's much cheaper then the on-point hotels, and is still very good quality. I'm actually hoping to make the same trip Sept 9th/10th. I find the few weekends after labour day before the halloween stuff starts are the best times to go. Decent weather, no crowds. Can't go wrong with that.
Rollerholden Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 ... and won't have to worry about parking. We got there around 9:15 in the morning, parked in like the second row, and they let us into the park at 9:30. The parking there is very organized.
Carnage Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 ^ By worry about parking he means paying for parking. By staying at an on-point resort, or staying at Breakers Express with a room packacke that lets him not pay the $10 for parking.
bisk Posted August 2, 2006 Author Posted August 2, 2006 Thanks for the input guys, it looks like BE is where we'll be staying.
paulTT Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 im also from the Toronto area, and my family and i just visited Cedar Point in July. it was great we stayed at the hotel Breakers, it was a little expensive for a family of five but worth it, we got the 2 day park admition that lets u go into the park for 2 days which was $64.00 per person, if u stay at any hotel in the park u get in the park at 9:00am an hour early for early ride time on selected rides at the park. what ever your decision is im sure ull have a great time!!
