  1. We're not mean...we're just mean spirited. And we pride ourselves on that as we think it's funny. Hopefully DougSTD will appreciate my most recent Tweet! --Robb Now you're being mean... You've crossed the line HAH... Sending Crap Members to Ace website now thats just F**ked up LOL... BTW this is why I Love TPR... So honest it has to hurt sometimes
  2. Before they used to require a ticket stub to upgrade to a pass.. but now with Print at home tickets you don't get a ticket stub anymore. About a year ago i was able to buy a season pass at the gift store inside Six Flags and even received discount on my purchases at the same time Whenever I renew my pass, I go straight to Will Call and pay there because I've tried to pay at the processing center itself and they always tell me that I have to go to Will Call first. So one time a few years ago, I went there to renew my pass and get one for Diana, they only charged me the upgrade fee ($20 I think) for her pass. And it wasn't a renewal for her. Eric
  3. As long as you're inside the park, you can get a season pass at a discounted rate ($45 bucks i believe). Normally not a great discount but with the case of WCB since you must have a separate ticket it does work out in your favor. Thats because when you enter the park you no longer have proof of admission, as they take your ticket from you (At least when you print tickets at home). Basically they don't know if you entered the park with an regularly priced admission ticket or a WCB ticket.
  4. Gmaster, if you go back a few pages Robb and Traincrossin sort of explain how the rotation works.. Hope this helps as to why one side in the animation may have seemed to spin faster. Re: The Six Flags Magic Mountain (SFMM) Discussion Thread!!! by robbalvey » Thu Oct 14, 2010 6:24 pm traincrossin wrote: ^The cars can spin freely and the crazinesses is really determined by the weight distribution in each car. Exactly...one of the flaws of the ZacSpin is basically that if you end up with too good of weight distribution you may end up with a slightly tamer ride. I will say though that this is only a slight flaw as I don't think I had a bad ride on INSANE, but the other model Zac Spin I did get a few "meh" rides on where it didn't spin at all. It's entirely possible that you'll wait two hours in line...and get a crappy ride...whereas the guy behind you in line will get an OMFGWTFOMFG ride on it. But really, that's kind of the same thing that goes for any spinning coaster. --Robb
  5. So it seems that the manager on duty was at a restaurant that night but having the manager off site is a common thing. Link http://www.examiner.com/x-1712-Walt-Disney-World-Travel-Examiner~y2009m7d11-Disney-World-supervisor-routinely-went-to-local-restaurant-Including-night-of-deadly-monorail-crash Lets hope this isn't true! How loser would one have to been to do something like this. (sorry just trying to watch my language)
  6. Nice TR, Anyone know why they need a crane to fix Tatsu? Thanks.
  7. Hmm Good point, only problem I see is that the trains are on the ground and monorail is several stories off the ground…. Just an observation (In some cases). Sometimes this isn’t possible.
  8. EnglndPatriots6, I couldn’t agree with you any more reduce the speed when in override mode…. 10MPH is plenty and could have saved a life. Also, backup cameras are a MUST… What if the track switch isn’t aligned, he or she could see it and stop immediately..
  9. Well it seems that after you override the MAPO all safety systems are disabled its all on the operator’s shoulders. In regards to the “design to help save the passengers”, this would never fly as every life is important. What I’m about to say is true for cars and may have applied to the monorail. Cars have crimple zones to absorb the impact. When the car gives a little it helps lessens the effects of the crash on its passengers. Since the monorails safety system design is extremely safe they might not have to engineer crimple zones. Just my thought not an expert in any way
  10. Well I’m no way an expert on the monorail safety system; could it be that when the monorail was going in reverse the monorail that was struck may have had the safety system kick in? This could have prevented the driver of the monorail that was struck to react fast enough to get out of harms way. Now this is just pure speculation, hope they determine what the cause was. An idea would be they could put sensors on the front and back of the monorails which couldn’t be overridden that could have prevent a collision.
  11. Well I wasn’t able to get tickets to the event due to reasons beyond my control.(family issues) So what I did was go visit the park and pretended to be with the cool people. Sadly I must admit it wasn’t the same… But the next event is always around the corner and can’t wait for the next time. Btw. This was my first ride on terminator and loved it. The show scenes helped make the lines feel shorter. I felt this ride was way to smooth for a wooden coaster, something I defiantly wasn’t expecting. Even though I wasn’t one of the cool people VIP TPR members, I was very much in TPR spirit. I still had a lot of fun and will make sure to not miss out again heh and again THANKS guys for putting on such a great event as always. - Dan
