  1. ^ Yeah, it was my lousy attempt at humor. It's been a very long week. Gary
  2. Hi everybody! This is my first time posting on Theme Park Review and doing a TR. So here we go. Day 1 - Went to visit family down in south western VA over the weekend. Was up by 6 on Monday morning to make the trek to Santa Claus, IN for my first stop. I got there around 11 oclock and by that time the heat was already in the 90s it looked like the day would be awful. But thank God for Holiday World and the creation of Pepsi Oasis. The best thing ever!! Now onto the Raven and the Legend. My first rides were so so. I was thinking this can not be what I just drove 350 miles for. I don't think so. So, the mercury rose and the day drug on. But I just held on to the fact that at night these rides will come to life. And boy was I right, they kicked my butt all over the woods. Great park, great staff, and 2 awesome roller coasters(at least when the sun goes down). Day 2 - Made the drive up to Indiana Beach. Temps still in the 90s, heat index in the upper 100s. Mainly just wanted to get the credits then get to my hotel. First up was LoCoSuMo, how bizarre is this? We did really unnatural things, I was just lucky to survive. Next was the Hoosier. Nice view, but not a great ride. Up next, Cornball. This family coaster proved to be the surprise of the day. Good air, not to rough ride, and no line. What more can you ask? Then I got the last 2 credits, did the shooter dark ride and hit the road hopefully for some relief from the heat. Day 3 - Michigans Adventure. Shivering Timbers. What a disappointment. This ride was rough x 3, I was looking for awesome air and a great ride, but it sure did not deliver. The biggest disappointment of the trip. I got in runs on the Wildcat, Zach's Zoomer, Mad Mouse, and Corkscrew. They were all decent rides. Nothing super. The park although looks really great with the lake in the center and it looks like they have plenty of room to grow. Lets hope a hyper is next on their list. Day 4 - Geagua Lake. Last time I was here that horrible Six Flags company logo was plastered all over everything. Now the place actually looks really good. But Cedar Fair still has plenty of work to do in reversing the curse of the previous owners. Had good rides on all the roller coasters during the day except for Villian. Those trains really give you a good beat down. Well, aging CCIs dont help much either. I have to say though at night, this beast really kicked it up a notch. It was just crazy, there was just awesome air and rib pounding lats. I have no idea why but I just kept reriding this for the last hour they were open. It was a great way to end a week at the parks. Day 5 - Did I get hit by a truck last night? Wow. Today was a travel day, back home to VA to get some rest before work next week. In two weeks I'll be 22 and I've got another string of parks to visit that week. Thanks for reading - Pics are below. Gary Heres a message to Six Flags: Na Na Na Na! Na Na Na Na! Hey Hey Hey! Goodbye! That train was full when it left the station. This is Wolverine. The coaster, not the superhero. The helix was awesome, but thats about it! Look Wisconsins over there! The POPCORNball express! I know its so CORNy! I feel sick. Because everybody loves bats flying over their heads!
