- The turnstiles open at 8:30 along with the square area of the park. As mentioned above, there is a breakfast buffet in Molly's Mill Restaurant right off the square that also opens at 8:30. There are other shops open then too. No rides are accessible until rope drop at 9:30. People do tend to get there early, but not it's not usually a huge crowd at opening. - No, you do not get wet on flooded mine. - If you have time, just take a walk around the park and through the MidTown area just looking at stuff. If you see a hole and it says not to look, you should for sure look in it. There are so many little things around the City that can easily be missed when rushing from one ride to another. -

The current ride building is boarded by the train on one side, the Saloon on another, the midway/Opera House theatre on another and opens up to back of house on another. -

It's not a new area. They are renaming the Fireman's Landing area to be The Fire District and extending its boundaries a bit. -

Riding Outlaw Run at night in the summer is a little different than riding it at night in December and freezing your face off. -

Blazing Fury is also 6 years newer than Fire in the Hole. I'm sure they learned quite a bit in those years of Fire in the Hole and did some things differently in the construction of Blazing Fury. Also, Blazing Fury removed the water from the final drop in 2011. So it ran with water for around 33 years compared to the now 50+ years of Fire in the Hole. Maintenance workers at Dollywood have said that they had to basically choose to remove the water or face removing the ride due to the issues that the water caused for the entire building. -

It is actually connected to the park through the woods. -

They aren't doing as much festival specific foods for An Old Time Christmas and there is not Tasting Passport. This past Sunday, I was very impressed with how food lines were moving. We got in line at Wagon Works Grill just outside of the building and had our food within 10 minutes. Overall, the park seemed to be running very efficiently and had the best operations of year. Also, American Plunge and all other water rides are closed for the season. -

SDC still has their water rides (minus River Blast) listed as through October 30th. It looks like DW usually closed Daredevil Falls in mid-October and River Rampage was listed as through mid-October. So not normally as late as SDC. If we get a good cold snap for the last half of October, I could possibly see them changing the plan. We rode Mystic River Falls multiple times last October when it was in the low 50’s. No line! -

Yes! It is the best time of year to ride without a wait. We did it most evenings we were there last fall. To help with the cooler temps, we would also bring a change of clothes for the ride home. -

From looking through the fence and the view from FireFall, it does look like they are widening the pathway and possibly the area where it meets up with the main pathway. My first thought was that it couldn’t be too major since the wooded path would need to be reopened for the fall. I do wonder if we will see the previous Christmas tree return in the Plaza area this winter. -

They were limiting the number of shoppers in some shops. I had to wait outside of the new Clara Belle's Cinnamon Bread because the inside was at capacity. I didn't see lines outside of any other shops, but did notice signs outside of shops indication that social distancing is being observed and they may limit the number of people inside of the shop at a time. -

Yes, Mystic River Falls is replacing the previous raft ride; Lost River of the Ozarks. -

I'll be in the area on Sunday the 20th. What are lines usually like on Sunday evenings? Would 4-5 hours be enough time to do the major rides? Thank you for any information.
