They are not going to spend $5 million dollars on a ride that Canada's Wonderland and Cedar Point already have. Not sure if a Star Flyer would give you a more unique view of the surrounding farms, corn and cow pastures than the ferris wheel would? Sorry, but IMO a Star Flyer or Windseeker would be about the stupidest addition that the park could add at this point. windseeker I'm thinking Darien Lake could put in a ride like windseeker. They don't require much space, and i'm sure it would draw some crowds, being touted as taller than the ROS.

Very detailed write up so far. I always find it interesting to hear other people's perspectives of touring Niagara Falls, given I live just outside Buffalo, and have been there more times than I can count. I remember going to Marineland as a kid. These pictures bring back a lot of memories. Thank you for sharing.

I don't think the slides would go to a scrapyard, considering i believe they are fiberglass. Not much you can do with them besides chuck them in a landfill to get rid of them.

Id be happy just to see moto coaster go a day without breaking down, given its current rate of failure.

Interesting sight at Thunder rapids today...

Thunder Rapids was on the rides not operating list today. It was also at the top of the list. Surely this must mean they're getting close to opening it for the season.

My friend who works at Darien Lake told me that they've been having problems with shipwreck falls lately. He said the water just keeps shutting off at random times and then the boat just sits there at the bottom. I would not be disappointed if they got rid of shipwreck falls and thunder rapids. My friend said that they just don't have enough people to run thunder rapids right now, which is why there is no water in it. He said hes seen the paper work for it along with all the other rides, so it should open soon.
