I am so looking forward to mobs of teenage sports teams traveling the park in groups of 15 attempting to traverse the midways 10 abreast and then abruptly stopping to chat about what they want to do next without a clue to the world around them. This will be like Christian Concert Day all season long.

So am I. Hopefully there is more to come at CPS, but I am happy with baby steps if that's all they are doing for the waterpark this year. -

If that slide tower were really next to Dragster, that would be some news! Worlds longest trap door slide. -

I imagine Sandcastle folks would still want a shuttle, and that place is not all that big. Still a lot of staff. Don't get me wrong I would love it. Park in the back of the lot and a nice setup for Maverick/"RMC Streak" ERT, but that's all I see it good for. Now if additional hotel expansion is in the 5 year plan for that area I would be more inclined to agree. -

I am interested in this new gate and why you think it is needed. Who will use it other than the cabin and RV folks? A gate would require at minimum 3 staff entrance, exit and ticketing and sometimes security. That is a lot of staff for relatively few guests. -
Uh huh. Flying sunglasses and GoPros. How many coasters or flats even have netting over them to catch flying objects ? Under them sure, but I think the trough has that covered. Take a closer look at that netting. I can fit objects much larger than sunglasses or GoPros through the lattice. In addition cameras are not allowed on the ride unless you are a member of the media and use their camera. http://www.schlitterbahn.com/kansas-city/rides/all-new-verruckt Birds and other wildlife. How many coasters or flats have netting over them to keep birds and other wildlife out of the ride path? Have you ever been to CP? They have gulls and sparrows everywhere. Everywhere that is except anywhere near the coasters. They hang around begging for french fries and repay you by pooping all over your car. They know there is no profit in hanging around coasters or slides. How many reports have there been of riders attacked by gulls or "other wildlife" at CP or any other park for that matter? I would imagine getting hit in the face by a gull or even a sparrow at a 120mph on TTD would cause some serious damage and might even make the news. Also what kinds of non-bird wildlife are you concerned about interfering with the safe operation of a water slide? Kansas Flying Monkeys? Nice try though. The park owners were very proud of their flying rafts as evidenced by the letting Travel Channel have footage of them and broadcast it on Extreme Waterparks. So yes I can imagine what the media would do. Broadcast the footage and sell advertisements. That's what they did.

Your are doing it wrong. Park at SC lot one or two rows back for ERT at 10:30, let the kids play until they are hungry about 1 or 2. Shower, change, short walk to car and drop off swim stuff, eat at car or use meal plan in park, go in CP and then close down the park. No lockers. Drive home. Rinse, repeat at KI the next day. It helps living in Columbus. -

This can mean only one thing. We are getting the World's Tallest and Fastest Water Slide!....... -
Folks take a look at the were the harness attaches to the seatbacks. I can't zoom in on my iPad. It looks to me the seatbacks are foam and has been hand carved to retrofit these straps. Sure doesn't look like a factory job to me. So how are the straps attached? Glue? Run all the way through the seatbacks at a diagonal? Don't see any bolts. I wonder how hard it is to change them out? Were they ever changed out? Also most of us know what happens at CP when the winds frequently kick up. A good 35-45 mph gust at the right angle might be just enough to lift that raft right out of the water into the nets. Certainly plausible the front rider was ripped from the restraints when colliding with the nets and support polls.

Let's do some simple math. How many people have riden this ride? Opened in 2014, so 3 seasons. 120 day season max in KC. From videos all over I estimate a 5 minute interval at best and 12 hour operating day. Season 3 has not even completed. 3 (riders) X 12 (intervals per hour) X 12(hours per day) X 120 (days per year) X 3 (seasons) = 155,520 maximum possible riders on the attraction in its life. This number is clearly highs it assumes 100% up time. There are storms in KC. Millions have not been on this ride. Why was his brother not with him? My kids were generally at the 50th percentile. So a 10 year old boy is about 75lbs a 12 year old about 100lbs. Minimum total riders weight is 400lbs so the third rider would need to weight 225lbs. That's genrally approaching obesity for the average male. Let's assume this boy weighs 100lbs, each adult female he was paired with would have to weigh 150lbs to meet the minimum total rider weight. Carry on.

What weapons platform does the Airforce have that launches airplanes with steam power over the water? -
^ That's amazing. I never would have attended on a Saturday unless I wanted to chill in the lazy river. What was the weather like? I can't figure this park out, goes from station waits on a Saturday to a zoo on a weekday. What ones have you seen? After spending all summer at CP&KI I think Tidal looks like it belongs at a CF park and their versions look like they belong at SFSTL.

I plan on it. Can't miss me, really fat sweaty guy with a floppy hat, cargo shorts and two redheads in tow, sitting outside most ride exits becuase he had WAY to much food and drink the past 18 months. Stop by and chat if you dare. (Down 20lbs and will be ride ready next season). -

Stop it guys, my doctor has cut me off. Any suggestions for a tent campground around Sandusky? I am only 2.25 hours away but sometimes it may be nice to just crash and tents don't have bedbugs. The website used to have a few listed but it seems they took them down. -

What do you mean about needing a wall? You mean four walls with rooms with bars on them for idiots that break the law? We already have those. Just a joke. Florida sure seems to get more than its fair share of crazy people doing crazy things headlines. Wall as in a border wall and make Florida pay for it. I am sure some Floridians are very fine people. I love log flumes. Just a great peaceful but fun change of pace throughout the day. I was really hoping an upgrade would come to KI as well. I suppose they are expensive to operate and maintain? -

Just because I am curious. . . Were you dropped/thrown on your head as a child?? The front seat on TTD is the only place to sit. Sometimes having a bug screen is nice.
