For the time being the only thing MIA is getting is a new shop. Maybe a new ride after the new shop is built.

Another hotel that is in the area that is decent is the days inn in White hall. (have stayed at both comfort inn and days inn). Thunderhawk I must say is pretty smooth for a Vekoma SLC. The mechanics must take really good care of it...

Mid day on a hot saturday is the perfect time to ride rides as everyone is in the water park...

As a Ride mechanic I must say that we would never keep a ride closed for a non valid reason. things happen so just sit back hold on and enjoy your ride once you are able to.

Yep, Most of the ride ops were at parties....

Depending on when you were there (if it was this summer) the staff shortage was due to a lot of the ops still being in school.

ThunderHawks 2nd coaster train is working all fine now. You are correct about the clearing behind the new training center is for the new maintenance building. They just started working it. The 2nd set of train cars have been relocated out to the train storage building.

I would do a Volare or a Vemoka SLC.... I'm not much of a flat ride fan...

To be honest, the 2nd train Engine is in the shop bay and 2 carriages are on the back of a flatbed in the employee parking lot that can be seen from the water park slides.

So Michigans Adventure is building a new maintenance shop this summer, (I heard that the new shop is suppose to be huge) they have started clearing the trees. So maybe a new ride will come in the next year or two. (one can hope). As for a Volare coming to MIA, I think it would be a good addition for the park, As I personally love the Volare. It would be a good family ride that the park really does need.
