  1. No history to go on yet. All I can offer there is go early and be prepared to wait out any downtime. If you leave the queue, you may not get another chance.
  2. Well, I'm here this week for spring break. Average wait? What ride? General not long in the spring. I didn't check a lot, but... TH and WE were ~10 min of the day FCE was 45 min everytime I looked. MM and TT were 20-30 min, but MM was down a few times. Warmer weather, later in the spring will be longer lines. Watch the times using the app and see.
  3. I had everything zipped up and was going to remove the jacket when they said in zipped pockets was ok. If not for the chill (50s) this morning, I wouldn't have had the jacket with zippers.
  4. Not sure how long after I rode that LR went down again, or how long any later down periods were. I didn't watch the app or screens to see.
  5. So they were testing Drop Line some. One of the guys working in it confirmed the seats rotate on the way up.
  6. Dunno. Didn't see anything about that. It was after the brake run, rolling into the station. Phone was in a zippered pocket, per ride rules during the ride (unlike the lost phone that flew past several of us during the ride). And editing the post to remove the photo would have been enough vs removing the whole post.
  7. Just timed 3 minutes from train 1 topping the hill to the next. So not horribly slow.
  8. Need a better app. But TT shut down the last guy that tried.
  9. Try again... Nope, TT is getting the rotation wrong. 2 trains running.
  10. Not sure why the photo was rotated. I took it in portrait mode [screwy]
  11. Much better waterfalls that are only a few miles in. Laurel Falls is too crowded most days.
  12. Of course Chimney trail is closed due to the fires.
  13. In line for LR now. Was 20min, now shows 45. People in front of me are from Chicago, 12hrs sway.
  14. MAY have problems. Depends on your built too. 6' @ 200lbs is a lot different than 5'9 @ 200. They are trying to get a wider range thinking and checking.
  15. Guessing it's easier with the trunk off. And when it was started having problems last year they pulled them off. Now waiting to see it running well enough to put them back on.
  16. Which is why I asked. I think the shutdown before launch is likely indicative of different problems than not cresting the hill.
  17. Actual roll back on the hill or did it shut down before the launch?
  18. Looking at the SDC map, not nearly as many dead ends at DW. DW is a big loop with a small section off of one side (Country Fair/Village areas). But even those have multiple routes back to the rest of the park. Owen's Farm could sort of be off to the side, but it's more parallel to part of Craftsman's Valley.
  19. Well there's the 36" height requirement (42" to ride alone). But the play area had a requirement for under 12 yrs old too. I never found it weird, just a relic of the past. Look at how the park as grown and expanded over the years. When they put in big rides they added play areas instead of kiddie rides. It even happened recently with Fire Chaser, no kids ride just a play area.
  20. Not at all. The point is a ride for the little kids while the older people in the group ride the big rides. There was a play area by Thunderhead, Lil' Loggers Landing. Whistle Punk Chase will replace that (or at least most of it).
  21. I think a few of us just had a bit of fun on a slow day. It's all in fun. There were some other posts in the middle of it too.
  22. Wasn't that bad. Loaded his page when someone mentioned it being open. Wait, that was you... I happened to hit refresh on FB to see if he'd made it and was live about to board the train. Now he won't be able to whine about not getting to ride anymore.
  23. ~ 15 minutes ago posted from the line, then some one commented it had an error. Looks like the live feed had him boarding the train just now. Feed ended.
  24. We really don't know. There was much speculation, and contradictory statements by various people.
