  1. William's Grove really isn't far of the beaten path either. It's what, 10-15 minutes off US 15. 15 is the main route to Gettysburg, PA (which draws 2 million visitors a year) from the north and it's also used to get down to the DC area. William's Grove would be fine if they would just be able to advertise better. The only signs for the place on US 15 are road signs pointing in the direction of it. Nothing to mention there is a park there.
  2. The whole thing is terrible. It must suck to have things turn on you so fast. We can be glad for a few things though. 1) One guy made it out okay 2) It is a rare incident when there are mine disasters in America these days, even as recently as the 50's coal miners where dieing every day 3) Maybe this will finally make it illegal to send people in a mine thats ventilation is down. Coal Mining is one of the things I am interested in and living only 25 minutes from PA's anthracite coal region I've been around it alot. Luckily there haven't been any large incidents here in a long time.
  3. Let's see where shoud I start. Well I finally decided to join this site after lurking for a while. Some of you may know me from over on Thrill Network. In my freetime I listen to music, play guitar, or if its nice out I might go for a hike. I live 20 minutes north of the univeristy town of Kutztown, PA in the small village of Kempton. I'm surrounded by mountains so there is plenty of hiking here, including what is one of the toughest streches of the Appalachian Trail. I saw Virginville being mentioned in the July 4, 2004 weekend update, great name for a place I know , I live about 10 minutes from there. The closet parks to me are Dorney (30 minutes), Hershey (50 minutes), and Knoebels (1 hour). That's pretty much everything I have to say about myself.
