Just got my Passholder email which talks up it's coasters, and says that a classic ride will be going away, which says to me that we can calm down on any of the coasters being touched.

Those could be pretty old, they never said it was there 30+ years.

I just don't understand this. So because you are bigger, they should switch back to the old restraints and trains that were infamously bad? Just hit the gym! I wish it was as easy as just hitting the gym, I have been working on losing weight, and I'm down 50lbs, still a ways to go, but I'm on my way. It was rides like Tennessee Tornado and other rides I could get on that started my weight loss journey, rides with the older style restraints. I wasn't saying they should switch back, I was just sharing how I felt about the new restraints, and how they felt to a larger rider. Why is my opinion less valuable than anyone elses?

I got the chance to ride it yesterday, and I am in the minority saying that I miss the old vekoma/arrow restraints. They might not be comfortable, but at least they would allow a big guy to ride without issues. I have never had to have an attendant help me get into the old arrow/vekoma restraints, I did yesterday.

Why do you think they added that rule? I've ridden coasters all over the country with my prescription glasses and never had an issue, but on this ride I had to ride blind. Funny, they handed my prescription glasses BACK to me when I was locked in on Superman But no glasses on our vekoma!

Looks like I'll be heading up to Dollywood again tomorrow. My nephew and I had plans to hit Blue Hawk opening day, I thought the opening ceremony would be cool. Since it's not opening we've decided to go up and hang out at Dollywood for the day. Here's hoping it's still testing.

Backstage Cafe has become my goto restaurant at Dollywood, I had the French Dip sandwich today and it was awesome. Their menu sometimes changes based on what's going on. Last week their burnt ends were out of this world. At Christmas time their buffet was amazing, as much smoked turkey as you can eat.

It was my fault, my shirt said it would be closed, I should have listened.

My last two additions to my count were the woodies at Six Flags Over Georgia, and quickly remembered why I don't like wooden coasters. Hopefully Saturday I will be able to modify that feeling, the wife is having to work, so she told me to take my nephew up to Dollywood. Lightning Rod here I come!

I was at the park today, it looks like all of the people who got to ride it while I was there was dollywood employees. They were mostly in the front and back. I never saw people testing in the middle. They also have put the test seat out, and unlike Mystery Mine, the restraints would actually give me the green light. Why that's interesting is I'm 6'5" and 348. A cast member also told me that they had seat belt extenders if the belt didn't fit, like they have for thunderhead. Lightning Rod test Seat.

I was there Sunday as well, great day with low crowds in the morning. The one thing I noticed this trip was Ninja's not the only re-themed coaster they're rolling out this year. As we were walking by the super friends area I noticed Wile E Canyon Blaster was partially a different color. It looks like it's becoming the Joker Funhouse Coaster. I know this isn't an e-ticket ride, just thought it was interesting that the renaming/rethemeing is happening at the same time as they're working on Ninja.
