Some hints on the 2018.toverland.com website: Rumors say that's the name of the new area will be Avalon (King Arthur). So it might be a knight area.

The Baron 1898 in the Efteling!

Definitely worth a visit!

Today, we visited the Efteling again for a long time. Everywhere short queues, tou got to love the rain on those days For the first time Symbolica, it looks very well, it's even more imposing than on the pictures. A beautiful building and inside a great darkride, outside the interactive parts. The other visitors did not like it to, most visitors didn't understand the buttons. First concept arts of the new entrance part. Look out, the drawings are from 2015, not the final result. In the meantime there are lot of things changes. Later this year the final drawings will be announced.

Oh, so it's not a true "trackless" ride then? A real trackless ride, like Pooh, Aquatopia, and Mystic Manor is all radio controller and the positions of the vehicles are based on GPS coordinates. On a ride like this, that tech goes all the way back to the early 1980s with rides like Universe of Energy and Great Movie Ride which are also technically "Trackless" but actually follow a guide wire under the floor. IMO, that is not a true "trackless" ride as we know it today. That's right indeed, this ride is using a wire under the themed floor (http://www.etf.nl/ride-systems/products/etf-mystic-mover). It may has something to do with the bugdet, 35 is a lot of money, but not when you compere it with an Disney darkride. Ofcourse it feels like a trackless ride, people don't see the differents. But there are indeed not that mutch options like the Disney trackless darkrides. Still it's an very cool ride that you really need to see with your own eyes! Perfect for the Efteling target group

1: There still fixing a lot of things in the ride. The trackless has an added value, they now have amazing themed floors and they can drive in Closed rooms. The trains follows a wire that reduced the possibilities a bit, but there still are some cool parts. Like the dancing part on the end. 2: I agree! Your able to turn the fantasy train in the ballroom, that's an really nice effect. 3: It's not the full onride, there is an nice photo effect on the end where you see all the animatronics in paintings, and youself (1 minute longer then MM) The ride itself takes about 7 minutes. You really need to visited it yourself, this is an camera view that don't film everything. There a lot of hidden estereggs, like a small trolley of the big carousel. A lot of effects are still not working well, they are still working on it. They have a good relationship with B&M, they would like to work with B&M again. Rumors say that there will be a new B&M over a number of years, but again that are rumors The cooperation during the baron 1898 was very well for the Efteling, so why not? They can build above 50 meters in the new area, so they are able to build a bigger coaster in the new park expansion. The Efteling is famous for its amazing darkrides and those darkrides are the most populair rides in the park. Why not add 1 more? The European visitors are loving darkrides. The 'Wapen of Raveleijn' is an great restaurant to eat ith delicious Burgundian food. Your getting a big chicken to share with your family. Opening hours: 12 a.m. – 8 p.m.* https://www.efteling.com/en/park/restaurants/het-wapen-van-raveleijn And yes you can still walk in the park when your in the hotel, but everything is closed.

Great way to cover a big roof, good job Efteling! I love it

It's an trackless darkride like Mystic manor, based on the park mascot Pardoes. And it won't be a calm ride, the darkride will have many effects and projections

It's an unconfirmed layout, although it will be close to the final result. The source made this drawing: - 42 meters high - Around 800 meter long - 6 coaches long, 24 persons - Color: Light blue track, brown supports - KST (Castle), a big castle as station. Again, not yet confirmed by the park.
