  1. Can anyone tell me how the crowds should look this Saturday? I have a group of 18 people going and I completely forgot it was spring break. What should the waits be like?
  2. I'm going to my first six flags park this November (28th) and it'll be this park. I bought a six flags membership for 12 months that I will be using. I had a few questions about my trip and I'm hoping someone here can help me. 1. I know it will be Holiday in the Park and some coasters do not open. Does anyone know which ones I'll be missing out on? 2. How are the crowds after thanksgiving? Should I allot two days for the park? I'm coming from about 7 hours away so I wanna make sure I get plenty of rides in. 3. Any general tips you guys have for my trip so I can get the most out of my visit? Thanks for any information given!
  3. Thanks for all the useful information! I'll definitely keep these tips in mind. I won't say I'll be 100% unsatisfied if I miss KK but it would be a huge blow as I'm such a far distance and just the monicker of "tallest in the world" makes me really want that credit. I've done Dragster in the front row and I can't even describe in words the rush of the launch so I imagine KK to be just a amazing! Never been on a B&M flyer but I've heard good things so I'll be sure to check that out. Overall I'd say I'm most looking forward to El Toro.. I have yet to experience a decent wooden coaster.
  4. Hey guys! New to this discussion board. I've never been to a Six Flags park before, and I have a trip planned to Great Adventure in 2016. I have a few questions regarding the trip. 1. Is there a particular time of the year when crowds are lowest? Would you suggest two days instead of one? I'm coming from 8 hours away and need to get everything. Preferably the least busiest time AFTER Total Maybem opens... 2. Has Kingda Ka been reliable this season? If I'm making the trip, KK is a must for me or I just won't be satisfied. I know it's had its fair share of problems over the years but it's the tallest coaster in the world so I feel like it has to be ridden at least once. 3. How are the lines for KK now that the drop ride is there? I know they cannot run simultaneously. Would a flash pass be worth it, or just go two days and tough the line? 4. Any particular tips any of you have to share? I only have one shot at this park and it's been on my list for a very long time so I want to make the most of it. Thank you in advance to anyone who responds with information, Carowinds is my home park and my coaster count is only at 83, so I'm ready to start branching out further.
  5. Hi there, I'm hoping this information will help you on your trip. I have been to Carowinds 6 times this summer, once during the Halloween event. Scarowinds crowds, simply put, are terrible. Fury wait times this past Friday night were 1 hour 20 minutes. Saturday night, reaching nearly 2 hours. However, Saturday morning we went to the park and waited about 35 minutes for Fury. Sunday morning (yesterday) the waits were even better. Intimidator was sending trains half empty all day. Now, as for next Saturday, I'm not sure what I would expect as it is Halloween but if this weekend is any indicator, it's worth the few extra dollars to go during the day if you don't mind missing the Halloween walk throughs. Your wait times will be cut in half on just about everything. I will also be there Sunday, November 1st, and I'm hoping for the same crowd levels as this Sunday but being the last operating day of the season, there's really no way to know for certain. I hope this bit of information helps you make your decision. Have fun!
