What is the secret to going on days that are super empty? Are there just random days where it is super vacant or is there a certain day of the week? When my friend and I went the lines averaged around a 10-15 minute wait which isn't bad, but I would really fancy a 5-10 minute wait, similar to the wait for hades 360 at mt olympus

I had the same thought. Maybe they're just saying that to throw us off and then when the time comes to announce everything, they announce that it's a dark ride or something. The reveal would leave people more hyped.

I have such a low count but here goes 1st - Pegasus - Mount Olympus 5th - Excalibur - Valleyfair 10th - Hades 360 - Mount Olympus

I apologize for being so far behind all of the comments but when I was there, about 3/4 of the parking lot was full at one point

I don't really think Nickelodeon universe is great. It is cool being inside and super themed and all, but none of the rides are really that intense.

So I went yesterday and I have a few things to note/say. I normally don't like excalibur, but for some reason I had a lot of fun on it yesterday. My friend and I rode in the back cart 4 or 5 times before going back to the rest of the park. The longest line in the park was for the new slides by a longshot (30-40 minutes) so I only went on the yellow looping one and I though it was pretty awesome. The second longest line in the park was for the red power tower because there was only one tower operating. Anyone know why? Were they short on workers? I don't know if what was said up there is true (they made high roller smoother), but high roller did feel really smooth. Also, the line was really long and a lot of people like high roller so it isn't going anywhere. The overall visit was pretty good, but I did start to get bored towards the end and I only go about once a year.

^^ That is true. I'm sure this was discussed a while ago but what was the reason for taking out chaos a couple of years back? I loved that ride

So that pretty much confirms that we won't get one next year :/ not that it would've really made sense to do all of those renovations AND put in a new coaster in the same year, but I was feeling optimistic.

C.P.A. Guy: We already on a waiting period 2007 Renegade was our last one were already going on eight years add five more years on top of that? I don't think people want to wait 13 years for a new roller coaster it's going to be my guess I'm hopeing for our 40th anniversary. I'm excited to here what's possibly coming to Valleyfair. Will there be another public hearing and what did the people say at the public hearing were they excited? I'm going to visit the park a lot this summer to see if there's anything going on. It's not like Cedar Fair is going to add a roller coaster to a park just because a certain amount of time period has gone by. From your train of thinking 2011 should have been a new coaster year. It's kind of funny because we did get a new coaster in 2011. What, the cosmic coaster?

The humidity does suck but it 85 and humid doesn't really feel "hotter" than 100 IMO. I went to Nashville last year and I couldn't bare the heat, it was super aggressive. On another note, I didn't get to go down Saturday because my friend's car was having troubles, but I'll be there Tuesday or something maybe. Also, if they were short on staff do you think they would close down a ride to have all of the water rides open? Hopefully not but I could possibly see it happening.

Those look awesome! I really want to ride them. I'm going on Saturday though, so it'd be a little cold and it would probably be the only water attraction I'd hit. Is it still worth it?
