I wish Holiday World would put back the lazy river that was taken out when the new entrance was built - that would definitely help with crowds on the Splashin Safari side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
If there's any park it should move to, it's Kentucky Kingdom - most disco balls are made in Louisville. The rendering makes it look like the cover is taken off the front of Brain Wash/Puihi. Also, should I interpret the renderings as that the rides themselves are connected by the rivers? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do you realize it won't even be 60 degrees tomorrow? -
Disney World 5th gate; a dream?
tidecat replied to Ghost's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That could work. Since "Disney's Citrus Farm" or "Disney's Citrus Grove" may be too easily connected to Knott's, something like "Disney's Adventure Grove" may be an option. -
Disney World 5th gate; a dream?

Rather than a 5th park, Disney really ought to invest in either an expansion or second installation of Disney Springs (perhaps, say, north of the Coronado Springs resort). Keeping visitors-and locals-away from International Drive benefits Disney. Disney Springs could use some more attractions that don't necessarily revolve around restaurants - I can go bowling, shop at outlet stores, and watch movies in my hometown, but I can't go to a DisneyQuest or board a 400-foot observation wheel. I'm sure Disney could come up with several unique (or at least sufficiently distinct) concepts for its own counterpart to International Drive. Presuming the market's hotel occupancy rates will tolerate it, not to mention Disney's resort occupancy rates, Disney could stand to build some more hotels on the lower end - even if someone stays in a $150 to $180/night hotel room, it would at least be a Disney hotel room. If DIsney had to build a 5th park, I would go for the East Coast version of Knott's Berry Farm - build around Florida's agricultural heritage, and let the park's dining options revolve around concepts featuring Floridian cuisine. Any resort properties built around the park could even go for a more rustic feel (although those would be more of the $300+ per night variety). -
Wet 'N' Wild Orlando, the first modern waterpark in America, is closing its doors on December 31, 2016. This thread is based on the premise of a "dispersal draft" from the sports world, where when a team folds, other teams in the league draft that team's players. For this thread, you can draft any of Wet 'N' Wild's attractions for your home park. Be sure to specify your home park when making your pick. There are 14 attractions available, all of which can be found at http://www.wetnwildorlando.com/attractions.php With the first pick in the 2016 Wet 'N' Wild Dispersal Draft . . .

It has been around $45-$50, and parking at the KEC has been $8. If you're coming from out of town, some hotels are within walking distance of the KEC, so depending on where you are staying that could be a way to avoid the parking fee. You may want to consider a season pass, as you would get free parking, plus discounts on concessions and merchandise. You will definitely come out ahead with a season pass if you plan on spending two days at the park.
