From my understanding, I thought there will be a few/couple more throughout the ride. I'm pretty sure John Woods stated the ride would be half media and half props/animatronics. Will try to find interview and listen again. -

So I'm guessing JLBFM is going to follow this exact same layout?? No. It will not. It will be more compact in its own layout, and it is expected to be ready for opening days, unless you had heard something I hadn't. Ok...cool on the layout. No, I haven't heard anything, just a guess since most "new" rides haven't been ready come opening day. I really hope it is open come April! -

From my understanding via the interview with John Woods (Sally Corp), though we are getting 7 vehicle, it is worked "in" (I'm guessing the budget) to up the capacity within the next couple of years if need be. -

I'm going to guess not, but I hope they have an exclusive day for pass holders so we can ride before open to the GP! -

I understand (having a stats background) NOTHING is 100%. And even if you feel it is a false sense of security, statistically speaking, it's going to WORK on someone. That one person (who isn't a trained professional) is gonna go "Oh no. Metal detectors!" As far as the games, I had a small comb with a single "pick" on the end (women use to part their hair) once going to a Rams game. Much harder to detect than a gun. It was detected and I had to return to my car cause it was considered a weapon. -

We went to Kings Dominion this year and yes they had detectors. Every other SF we've been to had metal detectors as well. I haven't been to CP in years either but we are going back next year. -

^^^^Agree!^^^^ Again, it is a "headache" sometimes but I rather be safe then have the risk of someone doing anything crazy while trying to have fun with my family. I know many places like the malls don't have metal detectors, but security is defiantly "higher" now than I was a kid. My two teens can't go to the mall to hang with friends because of strict rules now days. These unfortunate situations are becoming too common now days and we want to feel safe! -

Though it is annoying sometimes, I do appreciate the metal detectors. It's "chaotic" sometimes going to a Cardinal's or Ram's game too. And as far as the Rams, I can't eve take in my "normal" sized purse anymore! But for that "price" and due to terrorism/"crazies" in the world, I rather have a piece of mind at the game and SFSL for me, my husband, kids and friends!! -

A family man such as myself who have 2 children and soon another, They might appear lame to you...but they aren't lame to a young child. Theme parks can't just cater to the the hard core roller coaster enthusiasts all the time. A successful theme park has to cater to everyone. I really don't get why so many people hate this park.. I love it and enjoy working there too. Despite me wanting more thrill rides/coasters for SFSTL, I'm still very appreciative of having a park! I do understand parks also have to have family, kid and "other" rides/things to "please" the GP. Everyone doesn't like big, fast roller-coasters....many in family don't like "big" rides....one of my sons don't like "big" rides, but appreciates all the water, smaller and dark rides. My husband and I have 5 kids, we have season passes (for years now) and will continue to patronize our home park. I have met many from other surrounding areas that wish they had something/anything near them as we do! -

"Missouri's Coaster Capitol" is based on the count....9. I had figured it to mean that but Dave did confirm when I spoke with him..... -

This is easy for coaster enthusiast to say...like you and I. And when Dave was explaining the market to me, I understood where he was coming from. St. Louis is defiantly know as a baseball town and that's about the extend of it. St. Louis-ans (which I am) for the most part don't keep up with current roller coaster news...what's hot and what's not. Now, I'm not exactly sure about bigger cities like Chicago and LA, but it was most defiantly clear from Dave, we don't compare! So even if we don't have the same quality as SFMM or SFGAm.....St. Louis appreciates what it has. When I told family and friends the Boomerang was an old used coaster from Texas the reactions were "What?? This isn't a brand new coaster?" They've never been on a Vekoma coaster before nevertheless heard of one. Though many travel, they don't travel for amusement parks....I do so Boomerang was not new to me. It is very "new" for St. Louis. I think you misunderstood me... I am not referring to quality as in manufacturers (B&M vs Vekoma)... I am mores-so broadly referring to re-rideability. If I focus on Sfstl, boomerang has been mentioned to be smoother than other boomerangs which is good but if they had put in a rough ride it wouldn't have been worth it. However if a park, for instance, put in a coaster that literally beats its riders up then adding the coaster for quantity-sake would be a bad choice IMO. Further, if a park decided to put a coaster in but neglects the other coasters and allows them to fall into torturous rough houses or in a state of disrepair, then likewise, quantity was not worth it. When CF installed Carolina Cobra they intalled new restrains which shows they paid attention to the quality of the rider experience whereas when SFA installed Apocalypse, well... self explanatory. I understood you were speaking of quality as far as manufacturers. I through the Vekoma name in there as I've told the "Boomerang story" to family and friends. I get where you are coming from..... -

Yesterday I was able to meet and have conversation with the park manager of SFSTL. The likelihood of the Boss being re-tracked is very, very slim. He and the Six Flags Corp. would rather take the money (what would be around $14-$15 million) to actually get new cars for the Boss (as well as raising the lift) and adding another new coaster to the park....giving the park 10 coasters. He did not discuss a time line but seemed "hopeful" that the park will expand and adamant about the park keeping current coasters. So no RMC treatment for the boss....but maybe we will get a new RMC coaster...have to wait and see....

I was thinking 4-5 years, especially since getting the Justice League ride (major $$$ being spent...the largest, money wise, Sally Corp. has ever done) but I could be wrong. I didn't get a good feel of "when" from him as far as a new coaster but he also kept stressing for me to join ACE to partake in the up coming event in 2016! Do you think this could mean something big for 2017? -

Sure it can, but I think when most people hear "Coaster Capitol of Missouri", they think has the most coasters. Or at least that is what came across for me when I first heard SFSTL use this. And I know this is what is meant by Six Flags...especially after talking with Dave. So to keep this "meaning" they have to keep more coasters than Worlds of Fun and Silver Dollar City. -

Whether they take out a coaster (like the Ninja) or expand the park (which I'm hoping they will), I'll be happy with getting something brand new after the kiddie coaster is installed! -

It's nice you brought up the kiddie coaster because (though I didn't discuss with Dave yesterday) I have been heard this rumor! The old Screaming Eagle queue line sounds like a descent spot without removing other rides. I was also thinking a water ride and maybe the kiddie coaster for 2016. I also agree the new coaster is probably 4-5 years away, but he seemed pretty adamant about the company not taking out/removing any current coasters to add the 10th one. He really expressed the likelihood of the park being expanded for the new coaster. But not to say "they" won't change their minds....I hope not, I hope they expand with all the land they have available....
