To be fair, things on paper and things as built change all the time. Six Flags going to trusted vendors in Oceaneering & Sally is a positive sign, but we have yet to see if Six Flags can deliver on the "planned" quality. Another huge question mark will be if Six Flags can handle the maintenance on the ride. Those vehicles are sure to be expensive to maintain. Not to mention the projectors, media servers, etc.that go with the ride. Sally already has numerous trackless dark rides (Challenge of Tutankhamen is REALLY good) with a ride system from ETF that seemed to have the same footprint as a traditional dark ride from what I remember. I guess, for me, I haven't kept up as much on historic "track records" for parks. I've been going to SFSTL all my life. I've also visited plenty of other Six Flags' and Cedar Fair parks. At least half the parks have always had rides "break-down" on us but that's another discussion.... Now as far as the media is concerned in this ride, I did find this link where Six Flags will be using Alterface's Eagle Eye....which is one of the most powerful monitoring systems for dark rides. http://www.alterface-projects.com/news/new-products/two-new-justice-league-attractions.htm?lng=en -

I'm really confused. Are we talking about the same company that let Hannibarrels rot in the middle of the park or are we talking about the company that passed down a 27 year old used boomerang? Would you consider SFGAD a neglected park in the chain? I mean sure, they have a hyper, strata, and one of the best coasters in the world. But they have an entire section of the park left to rot and they not only got a hand-me-down stand-up coaster, next year they are getting a Ring of Fire, which is worse than a Boomerang IMO. Every park has off years, we've had more than a few, but in 2015 the park is getting a state of the art attraction and there is no reason to complain about that. ^^^Agree^^^ -

It is a tracked system. Six Flags and Sally looked into using Oceaneerings trackless system but it didn't have enough battery power for the fast start and stop needed for the vehicles. The are also powerful Bose speakers going into the vehicles. -

More ride details: JLBFM will feature 5 huge 3-D interactive screens (one with fog and one 30 feet wide), over 600 shooting targets, 4-D special effects and many other "first of it's kind" features not being revealed yet but have never been done anywhere else in the world! I have been THIS excited for a ride coming to SFSTL in a long time!!! -

This is a big investment into our park. And I keep hearing of park renovations. Hopefully these will keep us heading in the "right" direction..... I'm excited about this ride. I will be following updates..... -

SFSTL is 285 acres but the park owns ~503 acres. SFGAm is 305 acres but they own ~330 acres. So the park really isn't much bigger than SFSTL. I was surprised to....so SFSTL has much potential for expansion but don't know if they'll ever use all that land. Hmm... I am surprised. The Footprint of SFGAm seems a lot larger than ours - looking at aerial shots, etc. I'm guessing this includes the employee back area and the paintball area since it's 285 acres of "actually used" space. If added up, this would make our park bigger. But I would also guess SFGAm would have to include their employee area as well. And they don't have a paintball area. -

My friends and I stopped by SFStL on a Sunday in early October. We had a great time and we really liked the park. We are planning to visit again next year and I'm looking forward to Justice League: Battle for Metropolis. SFStL has a lot of potential and I hope corporate continues to grow the park. Here are some things we noticed about the park when compared to SFGAm. SFStL is much cleaner, the guests were nicer/better behaved, the park staff were friendly/knowledgeable and the ride ops were more efficient. The layout of the park annoyed me at times, but after another visit I'll be fine. My friends and I liked the collection of rides, especially me. The coaster line up is solid and I really liked Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast, Screamin' Eagle, American Thunder and Boss. Boss gave me a beating, but I really like the layout. I hope it goes some love this off season and hopefully it doesn't get iron horsed in the future. For years I heard that Ninja is a death trap and I was surprised by how smooth it is. It's boring, but by no means is it a terrible coaster. Awesome...glad to hear you enjoyed! As far as the Ninja, it is rough but compared to other similar coasters I've ridden in other parks, it is smooth. I rode the Anaconda this summer at Kings Dominion....terrible. Gave me such a headache...much more so than the Ninja! -

^^^ That sounds great but I'm not sure what Dave was speaking of. He didn't give details. I've just noticed the ride was originally advertised as 3-D and now it's being advertised as 4-D. Just curious...... -

Question about JLBFM..... When I spoke with Dave about this ride back in early October (I believe it was), he mentioned there were some "cool" things they were wanting to add but wasn't quiet sure if it were possible. I've noticed now, especially with Sally Corp, that the "name" has been changed from 3-D to 4-D. Perhaps, these were the "things" Dave was speaking of in our conversation?? Any thoughts??? -

Oh, I agree. We have the most free attractions next to Wash. DC! And we are "centrally" located from so many cities. -

I thought the same thing. I think the issue is that the overall theme park, more than just coaster, enthusiast community would rarely make it to SFSL if it wasn't their home park. Yeah, I live in St. Louis, and I only make it up to Six Flags 2, maybe three times a year. It's probably because I can really see and ride everything there worth riding in 3-4 hours. It makes sense that if you're not from here you wouldn't bother coming to SFSL. We get a lot of folks from Chicago that come here. From what some have told me, they like our Six Flags. To them, the rides/park are different. And I do know many come here to purchase and process season passes...much cheaper if you have a large family. I've also met people from surrounding states (Ok, Ks, Ar, Ia, Tn, In) who love to come here. Some told me they come every year and get thrill passes and vacation for about a week. Totally worth the $$$ verses some other parks/entertainment. -

From my understanding, I thought there will be a few/couple more throughout the ride. I'm pretty sure John Woods stated the ride would be half media and half props/animatronics. Will try to find interview and listen again. Sorry...interview is with Rich Hill not John Woods. He didn't say how many animatronics but did say half media and half physical props/scenes. I was told that there will be one in the ride and one in the queue. When you have a lot of different screens (the largest being 30x14) with top notch 3D scenes, the animatronics are a lot less important. How do all of you know all of this information? www.coastercrew.net/2014/09/the-one-with-rich-from-sally-dark-rides/ You may have to copy and paste into a new window instead of trying to click on it.... -

Sally is now announcing....if you will...the ride as 4-D instead of 3-D. Kinda figured it was going to be 4-D from the interview.... -

Yeah, I know props doesn't mean animatronics. I do know there will be Cyborg in the queue line. I hope they don't wait until June to open. -

So I'm guessing JLBFM is going to follow this exact same layout?? No. It will not. It will be more compact in its own layout, and it is expected to be ready for opening days, unless you had heard something I hadn't. Ok...cool on the layout. No, I haven't heard anything, just a guess since most "new" rides haven't been ready come opening day. I really hope it is open come April! The park closed Scooby early to make sure they would have plenty of time. Of course, there's the possibility that something could come up, delaying the opening. I was told that most of the vehicles, track, and set pieces are already completed and just waiting to be shipped and installed. I also think that the companies involved with the ride and their experience with demanding clients like Universal can only help in terms of insuring an on time opening. Awesome!!!
