I believe Kings Dominion will upgrade and expand Water Works into Soak City for next year during the 2015 season and then Kings Dominion will receive a MAJOR new coaster for the 2016 season. Here are the reasons: 1. Water Works really needs an upgrade because most of the water slides are old and outdated. 2. Kings Dominion seems to receive what Kings Island receives vice- versa. Kings Island received a Boomerang Bay expansion to Soak City in 2012, had an off year in 2013 with general improvements for then added Banshee a major coaster for 2014. If Kings Dominion did vice versa: Kings Dominion having the 40th anniversary celebration for 2014 (general improvements), receiving a Water Works expansion to Soak City for 2015, then receiving a MAJOR new coaster for 2016. As much as I would love for Kings Dominion to receive a major coaster next year for 2015, (and I'm sure just about everyone on this discussion page would) this seems to be more logical with Carowinds receiving the giga coaster next year.

Since Carowinds has the "Eight wonders of the world" advertisement for their new coaster, I think the new coaster their will be Centurion. But if Centurion is for Carowinds, what if Fury 325 is for Kings Dominion? It would be something if Kings Dominion received a 325 foot coaster.

I'm a local near Kings Dominion, and you can do almost everything at Kings Dominon (not including Water Works) in about 4-5-6 hours on a Friday. I would definitely reccomend riding the Volcano first and avoid riding Dominator first, even though it's the closest ride to the entrance, because it is always a much shorter line later in the day. Intiminator 305 is usually a walk on or a very short line during Fridays in the afternoon (usually a bit longer at night). But other than Volcano, the other ride with a long line are usually Flight Of Fear, Andaconda, Backlot Stunt Coaster, Shenandoah Lumber Company during the summer, and the Flying Eagles isn't a long line, it just takes a long time because of the capacity. The most busiest section of the park is Safari Village. The rest of the park such as Candy Apple Grove, and Old Virginia is usually not very busy at all. I would say the MOST line waits for rides in Candy Apple Grove and Old Virginia would be 15-20 minutes. I wouldn't reccomend a Fast Lane Pass on a Friday, because I have seen some of the Fast Pass rides at Kings Dominion with a line with about the same amount of people in it as the regular line. (Of course not for all the Fast Lane Pass rides).

If Kings Dominion receives a Water Works expansion to Soak City, it would be a good way for Kigs Dominion to compete with Water County USA in Williamsburg.

If Kings Dominion recieved Intiminator 305, a giga coaster, in 2010, while Carowinds recieved Intiminator, a B&M hyper coaster the same year wouldn't it make sence if Carowinds recieved Fury 325, a giga coaster, while Kings Dominion recieves Fury, a B&M hyper coaster for 2015? (Just a possibility, I really have no idea at all)

I went to Kings Dominion today and I was about to ride the Intiminator 305 and didn't ride because it was stuck on the hill. I also saw the Rebel Yell stuck at some point today but it wasn't stuck long, I looked again a couple minutes later and it was working fine again. Other than that I had a great day at Kings Dominion. The park was crowded for Kingsfest, but the actual rides were not that crowded, because most people were watching the bands play. I rode the Grizzly and it was a walk on, but they had both trains running. Always better with two trains, even when there's no line. The Volcano was the only ride with a huge line. However, the Winseeker is still down.

Yes, Gatekeeper at Cedar Point looks awesome, but I've only ridden the X-Flight wing rider at Six Flags Great America and it wasn't my favorite coaster. I'm sure if they built one like Gatekeeper it would be good!

I would really love for Kings Dominion to build a B&M hyper coaster like Apollo's Chariot at Bush Gardens Williamsburg for 2015 or 2016. That's just me.

I honestly am not a fan of wing coasters (not joking). In 2012, I went to Six Flags Great America to ride X-Flight, when it was brand new, and It was kinda boring in my opinion. It wasn't scary at all, and it was just slow and kinda painful.

About what's new for Kings Dominion in 2015,(in my opinion), I believe Kings Dominion will receive a huge new coaster. Kings Dominion has had a pattern of receiving a new coaster exactly one year after Kings Island receives a new coaster for a while now. Here is the pattern: New at Kings Island for 2005: Italian Job Stunt Track (Backlot Stunt Coaster). New at Kings Dominion for 2006: Italian Job Stunt Track (Backlot Stunt Coaster). New at Kings Island for 2007: FireHawk. New at Kings Dominion for 2008: Dominator. New at Kings Island for 2009: Diamondback. New at Kings Dominion for 2010: Intimidator 305. New at Kings Island for 2014: Banshee. New at Kings Dominion for 2015: ??????????. The only thing I have against my reasoning is that Carowinds is suppose to receive a new coaster, but Kings Dominion received Intimidator 305 the same year as Carowinds received Intimidator. If Kings Dominion does not receive a huge new coaster for 2015, I believe the second best possibility for 2015 would be an expansion and conversion of Water Works to Soak City.
