Yeah that part of the park is like Siberia. Just a few games the coasters and a couple of kiddie rides. If they added a couple of good coasters and solid flats this park would be a really good park.

I actually didn't think Apocalypse was that bad but I didn't go into it expecting much either. Plus I braced myself for the headbanging. It was just another credit. Batsh*t was the one that I expected a little more out of.

I took a trip to Kings Dominion for the first time this Saturday and I was pleasantly surprised. I got there a few minutes after opening and the park was pretty empty. I guess the cold kept people away. I was able to ride every coaster in under two hours and I think this park is actually underrated. I305 is one of the best and I have to agree with a few other posters Dominator is probably the best floorless B&M. Volcano was fun and the launch was a little more intense than I imagined. I enjoyed FOF a lot more than Jokers Jinx (although they are the same coaster) and I guess the dark aspect and theming makes it a little more enjoyable. I thought Grizzly was a solid woody and it wasn't as rough as some have said. Rebel Yell was fun and the first drop was better than I imagined and it gave pretty good air. Backlot was a fun little coaster as well. I wasn't a fan of Shockwave, Anaconda or Hurler and Avalanche was just ok. I actually can't wait to get back there when the weather is better but overall a great visit at a great park.

I must say that I agree with your assessment 10000%! I took a trip there for the first time on Friday and the park was dead. Everything was a walkon and I rode everything multiple times in under 2 hours.When I first got there I thought the park looked great and I couldn't see what all of the fuss was about but as soon as I stepped into Gotham it's almost like you're in a different park. The front of the park seems saturated with shops and people and the Gotham area was a ghost town. I thought about peeing in the bushes but it was too cold for that. I might be in the minority but I thought Batwing was a piece of crap! Overall not a bad evening.
