The Gates of Hell is an experience like no other. This complex will not just be composed of one haunted attraction, no, but six. All these experiences bring you to the House of Torment, Nox’s home. As you enter the Gates of Hell beware, all vile creatures long to impress their ruler Nox and will stop at nothing to capture the most souls to deliver to him. You will be lucky to escape with your soul so enter only if you dare." New fright fest haunted house called the gates of hell. 6 haunted houses in 1???!! Only last for 2 seasons? What the hell are you talking about? I'm beyond excited to see an innovative dark ride come to the park. The location might not fit, but it's a step in the right direction creative wise for Six Flags. What I mean is, after a couple seasons I won't be surprised if half the effects stop working especially at a park like SFGAM.

There was a dog that rode the American Eagle when it opened. His name was zonker the wonder dog or something like that. There is video of it online too

Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread

I will be visiting Hershey on July 18th (a Sunday) and i was just wondering what crowds are usually like on Sundays in July? -
A couple little things that might help; Upon entering go right for the fastest way to goliath. If you have a six flags gold pass, there is a gold pass early entry by customer services to the right of the standard entry. This should help you beat the General Public to Goliath. Stay away from southwest territory from 12:15-1:00 as that is where the hurricane harbor entrance is and it often pulls a crowd upon its opening at 12:30. Revolution is a really fun flat ride that should not be missed, unless your not a fan of spinning. Screams and dreams (playing in the pictorium) is pretty cool to see if you are interested. The lines for food are usually longer then the lines for the rides, so id suggest bringing a cooler in your car and eating in the parking lot. However If you want the park food, id suggest eating at mooseburger near the go karts, or get the spaghetti at Angelos by batman (you get almost 5 pounds of greasy spaghetti goodness). If you get the chance, whizzer gives a fairly superb night ride that you shan't miss out on. Save The Dark Night for mid-day as the Chicago area can get very hot late June and it works as a nice cool down. Raging bull last row is a must. Definitely Don't skip out on the demon, it has one of the best drops in the park if you sit in the back. Goliath's wait this year hasn't usually been too long so far, the longest I've seen it so far this year is an hour. On average its been 30-45 minutes every time i've gone so far. Goliath will be hosting double rides during the last hour of park operation so if that sounds interesting to you then head over there around 8:30 or so. The train gives some cool views and is a must ride if you have time. Park operations are pretty bad but shouldn't ruin your day unless you let them. Have fun!

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

The registration process was horrible, good thing i got here at 5:30 am lol. The food for lunch was fantastic however I heard they ran out of backpacks to give out which stinks for those who missed out. I have had a fantastic experience so far but i could see how some others could be frustrated. Another note; I had a SMOOTH ride on mean streak and the tight seatbelt tactic worked like a dream for magnum. Also Wicked Twister has been down all day :,( -
The "Pleasant/Unpleasant Surprise" Thread
irideburton4 replied to cfc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Pleasant suprise; maverick at cedar point was a HUGE surprise. I was only 13 the first time i rode it so of course my ignorant little kid self thought it was going to be a tame, short little ride but i was WAY off. Another pleasant surprise would be Viper at SFGAm. Sit back seat on that ride and you will NOT be disappointed. I feel like alot of people will disagree with this one but my last pleasant surprise would have to be Gatekeeper. Don't get me wrong I love intensity but personally I prefer a smooth graceful ride with more hang-time which GK perfectly supplied. An unpleasant surprise would have to be Mean Streak. Im pretty durable when it comes to rough coasters but man did this ride hurt, not only that but it was very boring and drawn out. It also didn't help that I was actually looking forward to riding it. -

I will be going to the park for coastermania this week and was wondering if anyone has any tips/suggestions. Ive been to the park in 2012 and 2013 but ive never done an event like such so I just would like to know what to expect [emoji5]️. Also one more question, i have about $125 dollars worth of visa gift cards so i was just wondering if i could use those cards to buy my tickets and food. Thanks!
