  1. I don't think going from standing to floorless trains would cause any problems as far as the heartline goes. There is already a large variation in the heartline of the rider because of the riders height, and also I think the floor of the standing trains is much closer to the track than the 'floor' (or where it would be) of the floorless trains. The seats on floorless trains are actually pretty high up to provide clearance for people feet. So the heartline is probably pretty much in the same ballpark for both types of trains. I also think that the layout of the track isn't hugely dependent on heartline because it doesn't have any zero g rolls or anything like that, and the transitions are generally more gentle because of it being a standup.
  2. I find this kinda sad. While sure stand-ups aren't the best, the B&M ones are kinda fun. If anything they are rare and unique. I remember liking the straight drop on this one, gave some airtime that others I've ridden don't really have. I don't think anything can be read into those 'standing' puns at this point, it could go either way. If this ride doesn't get converted or relocated, would that make this the first defunct B&M?
  3. This looks to be one of the more unique layouts B&M has done in quite a while, and it looks absolutely amazing. I have yet to ride one of these wing rider things, but it looks like a layout like this is much better suited to this style of train as apposed to the layout of something like Wild Eagle that is much more traditional. If I could pick one of these to theoretically ride first, it would be this one
  4. Amazing photos! I'm actually eating a monster burrito from Freebirds right now, and the photos of the food are making me even hungrier! I feel stupid for never really realizing the that staff on the cruise also need to live on the ship. Do you have any photos of what their living spaces look like?
  5. This looks like tons of fun! It seems like the Japanese versions of the major parks (Universal, Disney) still have a lot of attractions that we used to have here. Not saying that's a bad thing, I kinda like that these popular old attractions still exist somewhere. It looks like Universal Japan is a mix of the best old attractions from the Florida and California parks, as well as having some of their own unique stuff.
  6. I thought they passes some new ting saying that they are only allowed to blow the horn at crossings that don't have signals? Anyways, this is pretty lame but if I understand it correctly the ride will continue to operate till at least June30th? Building a wooden coaster seems like the wrong decision now, but I guess once this gets ironed out they probably wont have to go though this again because there isn't to many things they can build that would be any louder.
  7. Sounds like this ride is living up to the hype. An hour and 30 mins is a decent line for GA, I wonder how much of that was due to filming and whatever though. Does the line go though the gift shop? It sure looks like it in one of the photos. What was in the goodie bags they gave out? I saw something about a towel (yay a towel! lol). I wish I had gone, but I owed someone $2,000 and didn't feel like spending any more money that weekend. I'll wait for my next PLP (state worker) and go on a weekday.
  8. I was looking forward to going and riding the new coaster last Tuesday. I had the day off of work and that was the first weekday they were open that wasn't a holiday, so I was hoping for small crowds. I checked the site and saw no signs that it was open yet so I didn't go. I then found this thread that kinda explains why. Unfortunately this weekend I will be near the park because my sister found a chair she wants on Craigslist that I'm supposed to go pick up. I don't live close enough to get a season pass, and there is no desire for me to pay to go to the park till this thing is open. While I guess the walls look ugly I think they might actually make the ride more interesting. Hopefully these changes are good enough so they can get this thing open!
