  1. I went to Busch Gardens for the first time on Saturday with group of friends, and it was really fun! My 2 favs were Apollo's chariot and Griffon, though I'm tending to lean towards Griffon due to it being my first dive coaster and I guess a more unique experience for me. On an interesting note, my friends and I got to the front of the line for Tempesto when there was a delay due to one of the orange tags coming off one of the "comfort collars" in the very back row. So some ride mechanic guy had to come and replace the whole collar, which took 20-30 minutes. The Tempesto line was long enough, since it only runs one car. After the earlier "comfort collar" incident, I'm sure Busch Gardens would agree they weren't worth the added feeling of safety, as they seem to be causing quite a few problems and only make the wait in line longer. I dunno... I was also slightly disappointed by Alpengeist, as although it was much much smoother than most of the similar coasters I've been on (ahem Raptor ahem), I felt that the coaster could've made better use of its relatively big height, as the drop, although fast, offered no air time (at least to me). Verbolten was a pleasant surprise, as I loved the theming and atmosphere, as well as the ride experience itself. Although I knew there were gonna be two launches, I had no clue about the "drop" part of the ride, which caught me off guard (in a good way). Overall, I loved my time at Busch Gardens, and will return as soon as I can. I wasn't really able to hit the shows or restaurants while there, as well as Darkastle, so I'll save those for next trip.
  2. Joker's Jinx is still closed, although it did make a successful test run later on in the day yesterday . Apocalypse and Mind Eraser as always lol but still fun Roar ran surprisingly well, and Wild One was great as expected. The Mardi Gras part of the park is a lovely little addition and Rajin' Cajun is too to a park that previously needed a great family coaster. Superman was awesome as one would expect, but before we boarded there was some kind of incident in the front row where a lady wouldn't let the coaster go because someone allegedly took her spot while she was putting her bag in the cubbies although no one believed her because the bag was still in her hand. Batwing was a good ride, operators were nice, except it took FOREVER to load. At the sign that said 15 minutes wait from here, it took 40 minutes to get on the train. Overall it was a fun day at the park, and I like the way the park has been shaping up the past few years! I can only see a bright future, especially with the height restriction being lifted.
  3. Apocalypse at Six Flags America really has a "sexy" color scheme...
  4. It seems like they are painting the supports a dark gray instead...
