I went to Busch Gardens for the first time on Saturday with group of friends, and it was really fun! My 2 favs were Apollo's chariot and Griffon, though I'm tending to lean towards Griffon due to it being my first dive coaster and I guess a more unique experience for me.
On an interesting note, my friends and I got to the front of the line for Tempesto when there was a delay due to one of the orange tags coming off one of the "comfort collars" in the very back row. So some ride mechanic guy had to come and replace the whole collar, which took 20-30 minutes. The Tempesto line was long enough, since it only runs one car. After the earlier "comfort collar" incident, I'm sure Busch Gardens would agree they weren't worth the added feeling of safety, as they seem to be causing quite a few problems and only make the wait in line longer. I dunno...
I was also slightly disappointed by Alpengeist, as although it was much much smoother than most of the similar coasters I've been on (ahem Raptor ahem), I felt that the coaster could've made better use of its relatively big height, as the drop, although fast, offered no air time (at least to me).
Verbolten was a pleasant surprise, as I loved the theming and atmosphere, as well as the ride experience itself. Although I knew there were gonna be two launches, I had no clue about the "drop" part of the ride, which caught me off guard (in a good way).
Overall, I loved my time at Busch Gardens, and will return as soon as I can. I wasn't really able to hit the shows or restaurants while there, as well as Darkastle, so I'll save those for next trip.
