Never saw iRAT operating the couple times I passed by the park today on 1604 and I usually do. Parked in La cantera parking lot for about 5 minutes then drove around the park and never saw it operating.

There is also room on the east side of the park. From what I see on Google earth, there is a property line that runs from Six Flags Dr to almost Old Fredericksburg Rd, then goes west to the La Cantera parking lot. Looks like a lot of land.

I didnt go inside the park, but only to the parking lot to watch the fireworks since the friends I brought to watch them didnt have passes. I noticed Iron Rattler trains dispatching quickly and I haven't seen Superman operate that efficiently in a long time. How long was the wait for Iron Rattler? Parking lot was crazy after the fireworks were over. I found my way out in 30 minutes. A time saving tip for leaving Fiesta Texas at closing time. If the police are only allowing a right turn at the 4 way stop sign and La Cantera is backed up like it was last night. Take the first right into the new Elian resort then first left at the stop sign you come to, follow the road to the next stop sign, take a left and you will have a short cut to I-10 without having to go La Cantera to 1604.

When I visited CP June 8/9, I thought Mean streak was smooth. Being from San Antonio, and having ridden Rattler many times as well as Texas Giant before RMC makeovers, I thought MS was a much better ride than both of them before they closed and it was great to ride a large wooden coaster again. I got my best ride on Gate keeper front left outside seat. Rode MF 6x and got airtime on each ride. I too had a problem with the data connection with my AT&T 3G connection in certain areas of the park. However I did have a full Wifi connection at Hotel breakers in my room in the Bon Air section which surprised me since they said there was no Wifi in the rooms.

To me, I don't notice the twist in the drop. After 15 rides on it so far, it still happens so quick to process what has happened. You do notice in the back a little twist in the ejector seat feeling.

I was wondering the same thing because they dont really light up the first drop at night. They are under the track and you can see them when you are going down

My favorite part is the first drop, then the 0-G roll, then the camel back drop off the cliff.

Iron Rattler is great at night. Full darkness except for the mall parking lot lights and tunnel lights. When I went last Saturday, the lift lights were not on. I did notice some lights under the first drop and lift but didnt do much for lighting the structure up. There is a purple or blue light shining on the cliff wall below the lift but thats it.

One of the trains also lost the tail on the Gold pass preview day

Wow, thats fast. The 12 times I've ridden it so far, the line has never been outside the ramp. From the start of the ramp, it's only 20 minutes till you reach where the line splits off. Old rattler was 45 minutes once you reach the ramp

I will be going to CP my first time on Saturday June 8 and Sun June 9 staying at Breakers. For 9am ERT, should I go to Gatekeeper first or TTD? Which line would go faster? Can I buy a fastlane online before I go? If not, do they sell them at the hotel?

What took place during the opening ceremony?

I went to the park this evening with a friend and there was only a 20 minute max wait for iRAT and got 5 rides it. A night ride on iRAT is awesome

Yes, the dive off the cliff was expected but awesome. Sitting on the left side, I did get a little sensation of falling off a cliff on all 7 rides I got in last Saturday.

I got 7 rides on iRat today and it's AMAZING! Loved the first drop and the different spots of airtime in the ride. Awesome no matter where you sit, but the back is insane going over the first drop. Ntag is longer and I like them both but iRat is my #1 because of its uniqueness being in a quarry and a barrel role. Drop in the tunnel is awesome. The water effects were on in the early part of the day. I was impressed by how quick the line moved and the hard working staff. It did go down for a little over an hour while they took one train off and in the maintenance area and after that the 4th car was blocked off for both trains. Not sure what happened but after that there were no problems. Did go by after dark when I got a chance to see what it looked like at night but the lights were already off by 9:40 when I passed by.

From CoasterForce's video, you can see there are lights shining up under the first drop and another one on the side that looks like it would be aiming at the "IR" on the structure

Will both iRat and SKC be on Insane Coaster Wars or did they shoot iRat for a different show?

That's what that is..I saw something orange on the structure while driving home but couldn't look long enough to see what it was. Looks cool

Awesome! I can't wait to ride on Saturday! I got the email from Six flags saying they selected me for the Travel channel shoot, but declined because I can no longer make it, but that's ok since I'll get to ride it Saturday.

They did the same thing with the one here at Fiesta Texas. Sometimes it would be up at the top for a while

Would there be any problems with glasses staying on? I dont have any problems keeping my glasses on on SKC or Goliath

Having ridden NTAG and reading about iRAT after passing by watching construction almost everyday, I can't wait for this to open. It makes me happy about the 3 line choices and there won't be assigned seating.
