  1. Our park really hasn't gotten a family flat ride since 1987 (Rush Street Flyer). While a Aqua Twist won't bring in insane amounts of people, it adds a ride our park needed. We need a place where families can just spend an hour playing. These rides where people can shoot the people on the ride are great ideas and will be a nice addition.
  2. "Please be a floor-less coaster like Scream at Six Flags Magic Mountain!" This is a comment on the SFGAm Facebook page.
  3. I wouldn't call our park one of the worst out there. SFSTL is a good park, it just needs a "big" steel coaster. And personally, I wouldn't say Worlds of Fun is better.
  4. I went early May and the line wrapped from the ending of the park area through all the switch backs (even the one under the station). The wait was about an hour. That day was packed. The switchbacks under Ninja were full. Crazy day for the park.
  5. They scrapped it. How about moving the Moon Cars to a better spot a wrapping a junior coaster around American Thunder where the cars currently are?
  6. I thought it looked possibly like an Immelman, but a dive loop makes much more since.
  7. In the bird's-eye diagram there is a weird element that looks like a V. What the heck could that be?
  8. I have a question: Why would they need to clear out the weeds and such in the Hannibarrels if they need to demolish them? Why can't they just knock it down in the offseason and clear the remains? Do they really need to remove the shrubbery growing there before knocking it down?
  9. One lady went on and on about wanting to know if the ride was going to go from south to north or from north to south. It looks like it will go both ways (it is an out and back coaster I think), plus I don't think it would make much of a difference anyways.
  10. On the live stream the citizens are complaining. It sounds like Ignite is the thing annoying them.
  11. I was thinking of it weaving in and out of the forest in the back, that to me would be awesome That could make for an awesome Fright Fest attraction.
  12. I'd love to see the moon cars be relocated and given a proper course. Maybe through a nice garden with lots of ponds and fountains. Just looks like a pretty idea in my mind.
  13. Mini trip-report from Sunday: We got to the park around noon. Parking was only up to around the 8 signs. We headed for Hurricane Harbor, and Hurricane Bay went down for some reason. So we headed to Tornado then ate lunch and then went back again. Both rides were walk-ons. Wahoo Racer and Big Kahuna were both walk-ons as well. So were the tube slides (we did all four). Then we rode the lazy river twice in a row without getting off. We then finished our water park trip with about an hour and a half in the wave pool. We walked on Ninja and then walked-on Batman and rode six times without getting off. I really wish we could have stayed longer, since it was the least crowded day I've ever had at the park, but it was fun nonetheless.
  14. What is the roller coaster featured on that paper that is on the notebook under the monitor?...
  15. This has to be true. Unless the mayor is lying/joking or the newspaper made it up (which I highly doubt), there is no reason this would be false. Six Flags wouldn't make this up for publicity, because I doubt they'd think we'd rather see a Full Throttle-clone than a RMC wicked creation. They wouldn't joke about putting up an amazing ride and then put up an okay (but not as good) ride.
  16. I think guests in the park would notice a similarity. If Six Flags were to put in an Aqua Twist in 2014 then a big ride in 2015, followed by a Splash Battle in 2016, even the GP would be able to see that they are both slow moving water rides where you battle people on and off the ride. Personally, I'd rather see a splash battle themed to the desert in Hannibarrels spot and have Tidal Wave stay.
  17. I don't care who does it, I just want Holiday World to find a company that can make Voyage a smooth, world-class coaster.
  18. I'm pretty sure Aqua Twists and Splash Battles are almost the same thing.
  19. Thanks for clearing that up. Just trying to make sure that it was a reliable source.
  20. Am I the only one who thinks this could be another false advertising type thing like the American Eagle poster or RMC hoodie guy pictures? Half of me is saying that it is real, half of me is denying it.
  21. Maybe a little wooden coaster would fit, but I don't see how the fastest wooden coaster would fit in there. But if the mayor really said that, I guess it is true. And I'm guessing RMC may not actually be out of the question. Plus, that would explain the Guinness World Record clue.
  22. I've loved every Batman clone I've ever rode. I'd love for Banshee to have those forces! Everytime my home park's Batman (SFStL) coaster pulls into the breaks my jaw is open and I'm just staring at my friends in amazement, and I've been rideing that coaster for 12 years. I love Batman too. The only other ride in the park that has as many forces is American Thunder with its extreme airtime.
  23. I'm pretty sure he is referencing The Ninja, or even possibly Tidal Wave, because Tidal Wave was going to be the ride removed for Boomerang but they opted for the Bumper Cars instead. He capitalized "Wave" which is a super obvious hint that Tidal Wave is leaving soon for future expansion.
  24. Well hopefully there is a new big ride coming if the park is expanding. All the flats/smaller coasters that have come in the past uears have taken the place of old attractions, so hopefully this is a ride that was too big to create anything else. Either way I'm glad that they have decided to expand.
