  1. I don't know if this has been discussed before...but since Six Flag Kentucky Kingdom has been closed, why not see the return of Tidal wave/Greased Lightnin'? I'd honestly think that would be a fresh improvement to the park, the return of an original Marriott's ride. My extremely high and unlikely expectations for the next following years after putting in Gold Striker would be: -A launched coaster similar to Pony Express @ Knotts wrapping around Rip Roaring Rapids utilizing the old railroad right of way, a launched train type themed ride would be a nice tribute to a classic ride. I'm aware the Water tank, the railroad trestle, and the track bed between the Rapids and Flight Deck still remains there. So that space can be easily utilized -A Windseeker in Inverti-Garden. -The return of the Pictorium. -New Water Slides. -New Mazes/Scarezones for Haunt. -The return of Tidal Wave/Greased Lightnin in the same location, or a Intamin Impulse. -Removal of the Go Kart track/Psycho Mouse in favor of a Euro Fighter. -New trains for Vortex. -New Vekoma trains for The Demon which use the Lap-restraints. -And one that will probably never happen Rocky Mountain Treatment on Grizzly.
  2. Your actually not allowed to be on rides during any breaks, only if you not in a shift. But you can stroll through the park.
  3. No Eurofighter love? Any Eurofighter is a fun little tiny coaster.

  5. http://santaclaraca.gov/Modules/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=7016 March 28th agenda, the woodie in on top of the list.
  6. One week till the beginning of the season. Anyone else going to be there opening day?
  7. http://smartpermit.santaclaraca.gov/tm_bin/tmw_cmd.pl?tmw_cmd=StatusViewCase&shl_caseno=PLN2012-09049 Meeting assigned on the 3/28/2012...just for anyone who is wondering about the coaster.
  8. ^Considering Arrow trains can run on Vekoma track, I would assume Vekoma trains would be able to run on Arrow track.
  9. I would really love to see the rides getting a 21st Century upgrade. Mainly the Demon and getting the lights working again in the tunnel, and maybe even those trains replaced with the lap bar restraints like the ones here.
  10. http://smartpermit.santaclaraca.gov/tm_bin/tmw_cmd.pl?tmw_cmd=StatusViewCase&shl_caseno=PLN2008-06835 With this still being in the "Application Received" there still is hope for the CGI coaster.
  11. I'd much rather see a Eurofighter or a X-Car Coaster on Invertigarden, It would just be really awkward to have a compact woodie and Grizzly in such close proximity of each other. On another note, Great America now has street view in Google maps.
  12. Those "ride parts" are definitely for the holiday light event, I saw it up close last time I was at the park last week.
  13. This is true. On really busy nights, it really is hard to keep people from line jumping. I know at Cornstalkers we had 2 Blackouts walk up and down the line to make sure no one is line jumping. We also had a talent scaring people and helping the blackouts out.
  14. I've been lurking around these forums for awhile and today I finally decided to join. The park isn't going anywhere, they still need funding for the Stadium, and what better place to get it then from the park. That 937 million dollar price tag isn't gonna pay for itself, so the longer it takes for them to raise that money, the longer the lifespan the park has is the way I see it. I honestly see a bright future for the park, but it's hard to believe that a new coaster is coming to CGA anytime soon, it just landlocked (more like office locked). I'm we can get that Wooden Coaster eventually.
