Was at the park today and they were doing testing as usual on Mach Tower (Solid from about 10 - 11, stopped for a while, then started up a little bit with drops every 20 mins or so starting at about 11:30. Didn't see anything going on at 12:30). Asked the guy in the front "So what's the story, two weeks?" and he replied "A couple." He said he was originally scheduled to work at MT today but he obviously didn't. He said he just really wants to operate it soon. Hopefully they will open it within a week! Took some pictures and a video when I was there. In the video it does seem like it drops farther now. As for the 2012 coaster... Seems to be a lot of workers just sitting around. Nothing new in the back where the building is supposed to be, but they were finishing gutting the station, and they were starting to dig up a few old footers from BBW right outside the station (around the waterfall feature). Took a few pictures there too.

^But if it did crash (even the slightest bit) that means they are gonna find out what caused it, and possibly take a while to fix it. If it was open to the public during this supposed "mini crash", that would not have been any good. It would have been completely blown up in the media and if anyone was hurt that could mean lawsuit.

Well considering that at freefall the minimum one will experience is 0.0G and when slowing down vertically isn't terribly stressful (unless, of course the brakes don't manage to catch it again) so I wouldn't see a need to. With this said, I have no knowledge of what testing is done this is just my thought. Yes, but they had water dummy testing in May, and have had them on-site. Weird that they haven't re-done the dummy tests with the newly added (since then) shock absorbers.

^ I sure hope that is it. But it's weird that we haven't seen any testing with water dummies... Aren't they supposed to do that type of testing for measurement of forces making sure it is safe for people..? Also, Busch still has to do their testing. Maybe Moser is cleaning up their personal mess for Busch to get in there and do their own testing? I'm very hopeful, as i'm sure everyone else is, that it opens soon. Especially so people can stop asking "Is Mach tower open yet??" on the Busch Gardens Williamsburg Facebook.

DId anyone else notice that the week before MT was scheduled to have its media day, they added two rectangular-shaped strips going up either side of the entire tower? Was that the reason that MT was originally delayed? If so, someone really overlooked the fact that they were missing a major part... Odd part is that the catch car went up and down the tower prior to the adding of those parts and was perfectly fine. I don't get it, the tower got larger horizontally but no modifications to the catch car or the main car?

Has anyone else noticed the fact that Mach Tower seems to be getting thicker now? The cranes have been up all week now and it looks as if the tower is receiving numerous new pieces, which started from the top (earlier this week) and working their way down the whole tower. Looks as if they are giving it another layer, yet the catch car is still going up and down (still without theming). Odd right?
