Hello! I'm an art-teacher here in Luxembourg, Europe and I have this architecture class. There's a lot of boring things I could do with my students, but we decided to do fun things. So their next project will be designing a Funhouse/Walkthrough attraction (their first was themeing a roller coaster gate/portal). But to give them some ideas about how a funhouse/walkthrough attraction is built and how the path the visitors take is only the small part of the attraction I wanted to give them some references of floorplans/layouts of these attractions. Does anyone have some images he'd like to share? Thanks in advance!

^^That has to be in every coaster-fanatics wet dreams... -
I'm surprised that those Qbots don't get more hate here, I read other blogs and you almost fear to say that you like them. We bought them on nearly every park that has got them, mainly SF parks and we loved it. It is just so much more relaxing to sit somewhere or take a minor ride than waiting in-line. I never understood the haters. You see, when you come from Abroad and you always think "This might be the first and last time I will be at this park, so better make it count." you certainly spend the extra money without blinking.

No, I just got this info form PAfans: (Google translation from spanish): DATA CONFIRMED Opening scheduled for May / June 2012. Hypercoaster without investment. (hehehe) Will be the eighth roller coaster at Port Aventura. Will be the second fastest roller coaster in Europe (behind Furius Baco). Maximum speed: 134 km / h. Height: 76 meters. First drop: 78 meters. Cost: 25 million Euros. 5 camelbacks, the smallest of them have a height of 7 stories. Brand will Bolliger & Mabillard (like Dragon Khan). You will cross 4 times with Dragon Khan. Colours: white and turquoise routes. Supports gray. Theme: simulate the ascent to the Himalayas. At the end of the first drop will enter a tunnel. The train will enter a lake creating a dramatic "splash". -

I sure hope this feels as smooth as it looks!!! -
I was going to say something about the ride operators making all the difference, but at Parque Warner... probably not! With the crisis going strong in Spain, I suspect that the operators will show more enthusiasm too keep their job these days.

I'll tell you what I think of it when I get back from Madrid and their DejaVu "Stuntfall". It will be the first time I ride one of these. Hope it won't be down for maintenance...

Ispeed looks pretty intense in a wonderful way. I really had to rewatch for the guy at the back, totally hilarious.

Big Air looks somewhat boring, like a DéjaVu without the rollercoaster parts. But the lifting system should be the same... and as DéjaVus this one surely has to be down often.

We'll have FP for our day at SFMM. We do that more out of necessity, because we want to ride almost all of the coasters, this at the beginning of august. As it is not that often that we visit the US. If we ride X2 we'll simply do the queue as everybody else. Same will probably count for GL. I read the description of the Gold Passes that SFMM delivers, but am not that sure that I really understood how it works. Is it like an electronic Disney Fast-Pass? You "check-in" at a ride and wait until your time comes and than you have a time-window to get into the fast-pass-lane? Does it work well?

What is the coolest coaster name?
READYdot replied to Hilltopper39's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Best coaster name EVER: Starry Sky Ripper! -
Yeah, let's name it after a character nobody knows. Green Lantern, even without the movie, is one of the better known DC charaters. I'm looking forward to the whole DC universe change, should be really cool. Is it? As an european I don't have the same insight into the american comics market, but I do know Edward E. Nigma, also known as the Riddler... and there seem to be some other major attractions named after him... just saying. No offense. On another topic, while looking at above video from Grona Lund I noticed that there's a danger in putting you arm into the disk on the inside, or that a foot could get stuck in there.. ?!

Great photos! We'd almost opted for a Gardaland trip for in two weeks, but finally we're going to Madrid with a day at Parque Warner and prolly Parque de Attraciones. Raptor looks so damn well themed, with all those details to every part of the coaster, even the supports.

Hello! I'm new here, but I'd like to thank you for this awesome TR. All those parks seem somewhat lost on the edge of the world, very few guests and the most unusual layouts I have ever seen, like that Moon Sea park.
