We went out to the park tonight, got there around 7:00 and met up with my nephew. My little one played in BBW with my wife while we went on other rides. Hit up Colossus, Scream, Riddler and Tatsu before the park closed. We are going to go back tomorrow first thing in the morning and see if we can't get on X2, Tatsu, Apoc and Goliath before calling it a day. RRE was looking great. They had a bunch of ride ops getting trained and testing it out when we got there. We rode Tatsu at night, wow is that a neat feeling in the dark.

I'm considering braving the park on Saturday for hopefully a quick morning circuit, X2->Tatsu->Apoc->Riddler->Scream->Goliath->Colossus->bugs world. Am I crazy to think I'll be able to do this in a reasonable amount of time? I was thinking if we get there before opening, use the discover line and my wife and little one head off to RRE I can get in some rides before the park is crowded.

Like others have said, I wouldn't plan to buy a Gold FP unless you find a strong reason to during the day. Take the advice of others in the thread and get there early to be first in the gate (if you have a discover card then you may get in before the crowds) and run to X2 to get a ride, then head to Tatsu for a ride or two, then hit up Superman, Deja Vu, Apoc, Riddler, Scream, and Goliath. You can then go back through and ride Viper, the flats, Gold Rusher and Colossus. Towards the end of the day you should be able to get quick rides on X2 and Tatsu again. I went last week Friday, with many school buses at the park and a AAA party that night and I still rode a ton of rides between 10:30-4. I think on a Wednesday you'll be able to ride all that you want to plus re-rides. If at any point the crowds are getting thick and the waits are too long then go pick up the FP. Have fun! Was this over by the bumper cars? I saw a momma that looked like she was nesting last Friday and management had surrounded the planter/tree with barriers and there were a few management folks giving her water. She looked pretty uncomfortable in the sun and was slow moving like she might have been in labor. Pretty neat to get to see the babies A few weeks ago we also saw a group of babies and the parents seemed relaxed once we started feeding them goldfish crackers. Whoo! Just changed our OKC flights to go to Dallas instead for a day, SFOT here we come, can't wait to ride Texas Giant

I'm already making plans to change plane tickets for OKC to land in Dallas first and go to Six Flags Over Texas, can't wait to ride the Texas Giant I'm new to riding coasters and not picky at all, in fact I think Scream is a great ride and rode it the most on my last trip, so I'm open to going to any parks, Cedar Point included. What other parks, that you all have visited, are a must visit when it comes to coasters in the US?

Had another great day the park. Got to the front gate about 10 minutes before opening, got in the discover line and was nearly past revolution when I heard the front gates open, that's so cool getting in early. I made a mistake though and went straight to Tatsu, forgetting I wouldn't be there late enough to get a walkon on X2, oh well, will ride it next time. After the getting the first train on Tatsu in the back row, hit up Apoc for 2 rides, then went up to Ninja, down to Riddlers and over to Scream for 2 rides. Then did Colossus which was my first time, road the front and back, lots of fun. Then to swashbuckler for some old memories and then finally on Goliath which was another first run for me. Sat in the first row and couldn't wipe the smile off my face after the ride. That first drop is great (I guess I like drops now After Goliath I was trying to decide whether to stay longer or go get lunch, ended up over at Viper for another first run, sat in the magic row, and enjoyed the ride. Headed back up the hill to Tatsu, but the line was about 45 minutes, so passed on that and went up the sky tower to relax. Went over to Scream for a final ride, this time in the very back. Also stopped at the bumper cars for a little fun. Attempted to ride Goliath again, but it was getting late and the line was long. It looked like the crowds got much bigger as the day went on, likely that the AAA people were probably coming in before the party. So 10:30 - 4 got in: Tatsu Apoc x 2 Ninja Riddlers Scream x 3 Colossus x 2 Viper Goliath Swashbuckler Bumper Cars Sky Tower The only rides I have left to do now are Deja Vu and Superman, the rest of the park I've conquered Speaking of Superman, today I watched one launch and it didn't stop until a 3rd of the way into the breaks, was the highest I've seen. There were a few that fell short of the brakes, but most were right up there. Now to work up the courage to ride it. I've got the coaster bug so bad that I was looking into the travel from OKC to Dallas for a chance to go to Six Flags over Texas when I'm out in OKC in July Here's some pics from the day. Green Lantern is looking great and they are putting in the structure for the new kid coaster. Pays to Discover... Got the first train out Apoc is so quick, walkon and a re-ride Green Lantern taking form So many inversions on Riddler Wished I had rode Colossus back in the day Kid Coaster staging area taking shape A childhood classic Highlight of my day, what an excellent ride GL sure stands out X2 is massive when viewed from above Tatsu, nothing better then flying Beautiful day I had forgotten how intense Ninja is So quick... Time for a joy ride

I've got the bug to ride more, took tomorrow off for my birthday, going to head up for a few hours to get on all my new favorites and some others I have not ridden yet (Viper, Goliath, Colossus, Deja Vu). Anyone else heading up? Also does anyone know if there is an additional cost for the AAA event on Friday if you have a season pass?

Hi all, I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks, have read through at least 400 pages of this thread alone. My name is Ron, I'm a SCV native, worked at Magic Mountain in the mid 90's, for 3 seasons in the games area at rapids camp. I have never liked roller coasters, had this fear of falling, in fact the biggest coaster I had been on had been Batman and the coaster at California Adventure. That was up until a few weeks ago, went to MM, it had been over 16 years, and decided I'd ride Tatsu since the drop looked pretty tame, wow was the loop absolutely sick. I was hooked, but it was late in the day and had spent most of the time with my daughter in bugs world and on Log Jammer (she is only 2.5 years old) as well as many rides on the carousel. Since we went a few weeks ago all I could think about was riding Tatsu again and trying some of the other rides. Back when they put batman in the park, I rode it for a few hours, I think 7 or 8 rides back to back to back, and while riding thought it would be so cool if they had a ride with the track above where you were laying down, of course Tatsu is the perfect fit I had promised my niece and nephew I'd go on X2 the next time we came, I think that was more to get myself to ride it since I couldn't back out on my word. Well today we went back out for another great day. We got to the parking lot at 10:20, there was hardly anyone there, got to the front and they had just opened the gates, went through the discover line and decided to head to Tatsu while everyone ran to x2. Got the 2nd train on x2, rear row, so much fun, what a way to wake up in the morning with a nice cold breeze. We then hit up Apoc, road 2 times without getting off, could have kept going but my stomach and head were a bit jostled. Hit up gold rusher for some nostalgia, then over to Riddler's Revenge. I think this was my favorite ride of the day. Then off to scream , was pretty fun. Finally we met back up with my wife, played in bugs world, and got some lunch at the lodge. After some more fun at bugs world, we headed back towards apoc and then my niece got there. We skipped on Apoc for a 3rd time because it was running one train and was probably an hour way. So we headed up the hill and rode Tatsu for another stellar ride, then down the hill to x2. I was a bit nervous, but after riding so many new rides today and enjoying every moment, I just relaxed and enjoyed the ride. We sat in the 2nd row from the back, I got the inside. My nephew said the side of the train we were on was the good one. So off we go, having no idea what to expect on that first drop. Keep in mind before two weeks ago I had never ridden anything close to these rides and I don't like drops (at least I didn't think I did Heading up the lift it was super bright out, but cool. We get to the top and my nephew says "here we go", I forgot that there was the little drop first and expected to drop right away, nope a little bit longer then we flip to facing down, that was pretty sick. Honestly I didn't feel the dropping sensation, but enjoyed every second of it. Rest of the ride was pretty sick, cool all around, and now I could mark another one off the list. Unfortunately the music and fire was turned off, that will be a plus the next time we go, would love to do it at night. Tatsu and Riddler's are still on the top of my list at this point. Finished up the day with some more bugs world and a ride on Jet Stream with the little one. Thought about another trip on Tatsu, but decided we'd be back soon enough and was already pretty warn out from the day. So this non-coaster guy did: 2 x Tatsu 2 x Apoc 1 x Scream 1 x Riddler's 1 x X2 1 x Jet Stream No wait on Tatsu, Apoc, Scream or Riddlers in the morning. 20 minute on X2 and Tatsu in the later afternoon. What a great day. I guess you could say I'm a coaster guy now. Next time we go will hit up Viper, Deja Vu, Colossus and maybe even Goliath (although that first drop looks pretty narly). I'll have to work my way up to Superman, not sure it's for me. GL was looking great, so few pieces left, I think I will dig this ride to. Anyway thanks for this great resource, and I'm glad to say at 33 I finally let myself enjoy riding these attractions. Sorry for the long post, wanted to share my experience with you all. Can't wait to head back, maybe next weekend
