im 30 minutes from knoebels we go all the time, but its nice now my kids are getting older and starting to enjoy other coasters so making a trip to another park this year would be fun. im at a pretty good location. hershey, dorney, knoebels all an hour or less from me.
i plan to hit as many rides as possible at kennywood. im sure the kids and i will enjoy the park. we enjoy our home park of knoebels and the classic rides there so i'd like to try other classics that knoebels does not have. if time and money permit we may do delgrossos as well.
thanks i will check that out. since my kids are now old enough and enjoying riding coasters i thought this would be a good trip this summer from eastern pa. always wanted to go there..also may add a stop on the way home at lakemont park
i love living 35 minutes from knoebels..i grew up going there and it is still my favorite park by far. i also love taking my kids there and sharing knoebels with them. i had some time this past saturday so i decided to go and use some leftover tickets from years past. i got 4 rides total in and impulse was first along with phoenix, twister, and the pioneer train(a tradition of my family always riding this before we head home). impulse was great and on a day the park was packed it took 45-and hour to get on but well worth it. this coaster fits knoebels so well. phoenix was flying fast and twister was good too. next visit i'll be up with my kids..oh and with the leftover tickets i spend a grand total of $11 at the park..another reason i love knoebels.
i would say the one coaster i'm glad is gone is viper from SFGA...worst coaster i was on..the one i miss the most would be High Speed Thrill Coaster. My first coaster i was ever on and i wish my kids could have rode that one as well. the do enjoy kozmos kurves though
if you like the birch beer, there is one place in the park that sells blue birch beer..its really good. its at the stand called totem treats in the kid area. i love that knoebels is my home park. now i just need to get there this year
