New Attraction for Belmont Park
whatdoidoppp replied to chickenbowl's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Whoa! I might need to check my memory bank to remember the name of this flat ride... too many exist and too many of them look similar. -
DUDE! what the hell?! I hope there were hot chicks in there...

Here are mine. 5. Waiting in 2 hour long lines for a ride you have gone on before and only waited less than 10 minutes. 4. The Incredibly high food and souvenir prices 3. Getting tired during the day and being super sore the next 2. Rides breaking down right while you have been waiting in a super long line... MULTIPLE TIMES. 1. Leaving the Park. I get a little heartbroken because I know that i won't visit again for a long while. Most of the time, a year.

it boggles my mind. What could POSSIBLY require a whole year of refurbishment for one ride? They don't even come out and say anything either... so it can't be that big of a deal... I'm going to SFMM tomorrow and I am just wondering, is there a lot of people on monday? Is it less than the 4th of july weekend (i hope so, it was so bad, there was a 20-50 minute wait for NINJA! NINJA! Seriously WTF??) Also, what kind of discounts are they doing right now? My friends don't want to pay full price and is it Coke- Cans or Taco Bell coupons that make you pay 29.99??? is it both??

I never experienced any roughness on Viper. And i only once experienced a head-banging on revolution because i went on the front. But it was at 9:00 so no worries. ;D I think that after riding Psyclone in 04', every other ride that is considered bumpy by people, is NOT bumpy to me. lol. edit** BTW, does anyone know what seats are good for getting air time on Viper's drop? I got it once and it felt soooo good. I had the sensation in my mental and muscle memory the whole day. Better than any other airtime I have gotten.

^ agreed. as for the new trains, i hope one of them is reverse. there is nothing stopping them from doing it. they don't even need shoulder harnesses, maybe just restraints that you would find on Goliath or Top Thrill Dragster. Only thing to worry about is people getting tossed forward from the initial thrust. So I guess there is only a 50% chance the ride will have a backwards launch. 90% chance of repaint 100% chance of it going full speed, possibly higher. 50% chance both sides will be able to run at the same time. 20% chance of a drop tower 60% chance of a Bizarro transformation (doesn't necessarily need backwards cars) .5% of a rocket coaster

You might wanna check your math a bit. Your taking away three coasters and only adding one new. Therefore deceasing the coaster count. actually, they only count colossus as one ride. and also superman: TE is one ride. and mr six's dance coaster does not count yet. soo...yeah... All i want them to do is at least REPAINT IT RUN BOTH SIDES MAKE THEM GO ALL THE WAY UP and those are probably guaranteed to happen because of the 7 month wait. so yay!

I decided to do a little "recreation" of the crazy rocket coaster idea that people got. I made it in my 90% perfect recreation of SFMM in RCT3 (lol). It ended up having a height of 482 feet and a drop of 424 feet. It honestly would be an AMAZING addition to the park, and boost revenue like never before. But there is no way Magic Mountain owners are cool enough to give us the tallest, fastest ride in the world. I think they are just going to make the ride taller. Faster. Heck, that's even what the sign says. And it would also make since because Superman standing there was probably in the way for construction.

how is removing a side of colossus and S:TE crazy talk? They only run one side every half a year, anyways. IT's easy money. And that's the thing, they are going to put a dance coaster... how is that going to make the place family friendly? They should just face it, Magic Mountain is the bad*** of all amusement parks. Adding kiddie rides? You have to be kidding me. And how exactly is turning the car backwards "impractical"?? Is it because of the emergency brakes? By the time the car reaches it, it has already slowed down to around 10 mph. So it is not very dangerous.

I believe Magic Mountains best bet right now would be to: 1) Remove the inner track of Collosus for scrap, it's the crappier side. 2) Stop working on Mr. Six's Dance coaster, seriously. WHY!?? 3) Sell one of Superman's Launch tracks but keep both vertical parts to use as supports. 4) Build a rocket coaster in place of the missing launch track and make it go over the top of the towers. It won't cost as much as, say, Kingda Ka because the major supports are already there. And think about the high revenue for the park if this happens. O.O I think this is the best idea so far, it would even increase the Coaster Count.

As far as this whole idea of Superman: TE having a BIzarro side goes, I am starting to doubt it. If that were to happen, they would have a sign saying "Something BIZARRE is happening to Superman: The Escape!" like they did to the other victims of this trend. I also believe a Drop Ride is even more unlikely, since it wouldn't even require the whole ride to be shut down for a year. I think only two or three things are possible right now. 1. They make the ride itself TALLER and FASTER. It would most likely use a hydraulic cable launch (which explains the work with Intamin AG) 2. An entirely new launching roller coaster that launches OVER the top of the current towers. This also might not happen, because the photo of it shows the station in the middle of the S:TE que line. Which most likely means it will no longer be an active ride, only used as a support for the new guy. 3. They are making it more of a reliable and cheaper ride. Top speed and both sides running. I don't see what is wrong with running both sides in terms of "hiring more employees". It would only take two spare workers which they probably already have...
