VR time 2 awesome days of exhausting excitement! From picking up the badges at 7:30 Sat morning at SFMM, enjoying multiple coasters on morning ERT with donuts and coffee giving energy to keep up the momentum, sitting outside the station on the Full Throttle after our 3rd back to back ride waiting for them to reset the computer was even fun lol We skipped out after an almost 2 hour wait for the Riddlers Revenge during evening ERT. Off to hotel in Buena Park. 06:30 as the alarm did its job, we started day 2, Knotts. Picked up our shirts and wore them as we enjoyed multiple coasters multiple times before the park opened. Lunch was great here, and we even walked away with a coaster wheel! Both days were great though, looking forward to next year, even if it is in Japan. Full Throttle Breaktime

Larry here, looking forward to Magic Mtn, have not been there since the west coast tour in 2009! Bringing my coaster loving 8 year old son and he is already counting down the hours. We have Knotts and Universal passes, done the Disney thing, has ridden every ride... now he gets to do the big one, SFMM, for the first time. He already looked it up online and informed me he is tall enough for every coaster lol Thats my boy!

I really do not understand the logic behind the Peanuts revival in the parks. I have 3 kids, only the oldest even knows who Charlie Brown is, but the others are all into Nick and noggin characters, they couldn't care less if Snoopy walked up to them. Just my 2 cents.

I have been in the US for many years now, but grew up in Ireland, I remember the excitement of those parks as a kid. I lived in Buncrana, close to Derry that another TPR member is from. I am a smoker, have been since my early teens. At first my reaction to the minimizing and elimination of smoking areas was outright indignation. The "how DARE they" mentality that we all have at times when we feel targeted. However, I am a smoker and deep down I hate smoking. I actually support banning smoking in public places. I try to be courteous about my habit. The other day at the Tony Hawke ride in Six Flags Vallejo, there was a smoking area close to the ride. Before the park closed to the public several mom or dad and kids were sitting in the area so I simply did not smoke at that time. The thing is that when you have to exit a park to smoke, you smoke less and feel better. At Gilroy Gardens yesterday I did not smoke from arriving until I left the park after lunch. Not a problem, and actually healthier for everyone! OK, enough rambling. My 2 cents turned into a dollar here

Hi all, My user name cazazoo is just an abbreviation for California is a zoo. I live in San Diego, and trust me, California IS a zoo. Some of you may already know me, I am Larry, the driver of this years west coast trip. I am a Theme Park lover, and rollercoaster NUT! We are heading to Great America in the morning, and on to Magic Mountain, so I will not spend too long on here. Delighted to find TPR and glad to now be part of it.
