It is stunning to see the changes that have been made in such a short time. The old amusements were a bit adventurous to say the least. They did a great job getting a lot of the rides up and running for the Memorial Day Weekend. If that $20 4 hour band continues I think it will remain crowded all summer long. That is a pretty good deal, considering most of the rides were previously independently owned. The Cyclone is independently owned and wouldn't be included in Luna Park. Excited to take a look at everything this summer when I attend the Siren Music Festival, which is a free annual music festival held at there each year.

Wow I can't believe those Magic Kingdom prices. Two days for less than $30. Amazing. Very cool pictures.

The classic movies might be pretty cool but I feel like they are a few years too late in getting the Saw properties. However, people still seem to pay enough money for them to make the same sequel 8 times. I am not a huge fan of haunted houses but I have worked on designing some small ones in college and that was blast.

I actually got an email today from someone stating that I was a runner-up. The reason I got an e-mail is b/c I contacted Snyders to let them know that the phone number I submitted was out of operation. So looks like they have notified the winners and I am not one of them. Hope some of you get picked.

Thanks for the compliments. The interesting thing is that I sort of modeled it after the Hershey Park Wild Mouse but when I went to Dorney Park the other day I realized that it was much more similar to that Wild Mouse. Originally there were more hairpin turns after the lift hill but there was a bit of a collapse and I was too frustrated to re-build. Unfortunately the phone number I listed on the entry is not a working number therefore it is unlikely that I would receive the phone call. They said a package will be sent in the mail if one qualifies in addition to the phone call. Everyone else's coaster looks pretty good. I am not sure if I will be able to re-create Apollo's Chariot, but at least it would be a free trip to BGW.

What did they say on phone? Did they inform you that you were a semi-finalist?

I entered this contest. Did anyone else receive an e-mail from the marketing department asking if it would be alright to contact local media about your entry into the contest? My guess is they sent it to all entrants to drum up promotion about the contest. I thought this was going to be really easy but in the end it was a pain. Here is my entry.
