  1. As far as I know I have registered and am good to go for my first ever WCB! With that said a couple of questions: Because I will have to leave a little bit early (say 4 or 5 PM), will there be any additional hoops or hurdles I will have to go through in order to leave the park before everyone else? Also, Some back round info so this question makes sense: If anything has changed from a few years ago when this was the prevalent general attitude toward ACE, let me know!! If I can recall correctly, there are two kinds of coaster geeks: 1.) The stereotypical obese, loud, obnoxious, rude, boisterous and the only thing they like more than coasters is food, aka the American Coaster Enthusiast (ACE) geeks. The kind that rightly or wrongly gives coaster geeks a bad reputation. (Before anyone goes off on me for dissing ACE'ers, keep in mind I'm a member of ACE myself!!) And then, there are the insurgent, renegade anti-ACE coaster geeks. Basically the ones who live semi-normal lives and wouldn't stand out of a crowd of people in a bad way. Which I assume is what TPR and Westcoaster members are like, generally speaking. Now with all of that said, I took a non-coaster geek friend of mine to Solace a few years ago and he witnessed what you would describe as the "stereotypical" ACE'ers and he was convinced that all coaster geeks have no teeth and have nothing in their wardrobe that is non-coaster related. So would it be wise to tell this same friend who is going with me to WCB that the kind of people who will be attending this event is NOT like the ones he saw at Solace?
  2. Hello to all! My name is Karl Crail and I hail from Chula Vista California (Suburb of San Diego). I'm what you would call a "born again" coaster geek. Meaning that from the age of five til about fourteen or fifteen, I did nothing but eat, sleep and drink roller coasters and theme parks! In the last few years my interest in the subject dwindled due to a myriad of reasons. But now, I feel that the time has come to get back into the groove of things and catch up with all things that deal with roller coasters! To be honest, I never really counted how many coasters I've been on! My favorite coaster for the longest time WAS Ghostrider at Knott's, but of course as we all know, it could very easily be put in the Tower of London as a torture device because of the sheer pain it inflicts on its riders! But as of right now, I'm still searching for that special coaster! Things not pertaining to coasters: I love music. All kinds of music. But mainly popular music in all forms. I'm the only person that I know that has *NSYNC next to NWA on an iPod! And to those who are in the know: I stopped paying attention to theme parks in 2006. So can anyone tell me in few sentences more or less what has happened since that time in the world of amusement parks?
