  1. First Park: Alton Towers First Coaster: Th13teen And might I add, It was amazing!!
  2. That is indeed Spinball Whizzer's/Sonic Spinball's horseshoe immelmann turn! It does look quite tall from the image, but I believe that is mainly down to the angle the picture is taken from. It's been taken from near enough ground level on the main lawns at Alton towers looking up, making Spinball look taller than it is! And you are right, Alton Tower's can't build really tall rides, the restriction is that they are not allowed to build above tree height, anything that can be seen from outside the park must be painted to blend in. Hence why the tops of Rita and Air's Lift Hill are painted Green . Sam
  3. Did you make that theming for Talocan, that is truely spectacular, are you going to add the rest of the themeing such as the fire and water? Please release the theming sets, prety please .
  4. I really love this one... Evenoss: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_5gKZ5h6z0
  5. Well I'm now 16, but have been riding coasters since I was 4. So obviously being four, I was very small, and my parents didn't know whether or not I would like Roller Coasters. So this meant that my first coaster was back in 1997 at Gulliver's Kingdom in Matlock Bath and it was the Log Coaster... http://www.rcdb.com/id869.htm . However by mid 1998 I went with my Dad to what was then American Adventure World, and just managed to scrape the height boundary of 1.1 meters and managed to get on the Sky Looper (Later renamed Twin Looper). This was my first looping coaster, and from then on I have been hooked. Another thing which has a part to play in me being hooked on rides also took place at American Adventure the following year. Both My mum and Dad wanted to ride The Missile but I wasn't tall enough, so the ride op let me press the buttons to operate the ride!! (with his assistance). In 2000 we made a trip to LegoLand where I rode The Dragon. Then in 2001 we went to Blackpool where I rode my first woodie, The Big Dipper followed by the Grand National. Unfortunately from then on I stoped growing as fast and was a real short arse, so I didn't manage to get on a large coaster with the 1.4 meter restriction till 2005 when I was 12. That ride was Shockwave at Drayton Manor Park. But before this i had managed to make the mark for Klondike Gold Mine and The Missile before they both closed. 2004 also saw the Ultimate at Lightwater Valley added to the list. The following year in 2006 we made a trip to Thorpe and Alton where I managed to ride Nemesis Inferno, Colossus, Nemesis, Air, Oblivion and Rita. Then In the October Half term week we went to Blackpool again where I managed all the coaster including the Pepsi Max Big One. But what really annoyed me was that I had to wait till I was 12/13 to be able to make the height restriction, but my brother managed to get on all these rides when he was only 9 . 2007 saw my first Foreign Theme Park on a school trip to France where we visited Bagatelle, a fun little park with a couple of coasters and a good Rapids Ride. We also dropped back into Blackpool but only for a quick ride on Infusion. The end of the summer also saw another trip to the amazing Alton Towers. The year 2008 brought The pleasure beach again on an school inset day after the spring bank holiday, when the park was literally empty, so we managed every ride at least twice. The summer saw the return to Drayton Manor and my first ride on G-Force... As pointless as it is I absolutely love it! October Half term gave one of my most unsuccessful trips ever, a Gordens coach trip to the scarefest at Alton with three friends. In the entire 8 hours we had on park we only managed 6 rides, Spinball, Flume, Rapids, Blade, Oblivion and Rita. Air broke down when we reached the front of the queue . Finally bringing us right to the present day, on the 28th of march I organised a trip to Alton Towers with 7 on a minibus for my birthday. Following the unsuccessful day at Scarefest, this was Opening Day and we managed 14 rides... It was the best day at a Theme Park I have ever had. And there you have it my entire history of coaster riding, 1997 to present day... I'm such a geek.

    UK Again!

Thankyou for your reply, I wasn't expecting one so soon tbh. Anyway, I know they have a lot of hastle and I did say next year to try the new rides. But like you say I shal be patient for a reply from them. In the mean time if anybody wishes to post their own opinions of the UK trips, or their favourite bits from the past UK visits feel free to post them in here, along with your own park suggestions for future reference and trip planning for anybody planning a UK trip.

    UK Again!

I was just wondering to myself when you will be making your next trip to the UK? It was 2006 when you made your last trip, to ride the new rides such as Stealth and Kumali... As well as the slightly less popular Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, ( That is amongst us picky enthusiast folk. ) However since then many of the larger parks in the UK have added man new rides for you to come and try. To name a few: Alton Towers - *Extraordinary Golf *Haunted Hollow *Mutiny Bay, featuring Battle Galleons + Sharkbait Reef *Cloud Cuckoo Land, with Twirling Toadstool + lots of Kidtums friendly rides. They have also removed the Evil Corkscrew of Death, so Alton Towers need not be a place which enthusiasts quiver at the meier thought of any longer . Not to forget that next year they will add SW6! Thorpe Park - *Flying Fish made a return *Saw the Ride It is also heavily rumoured that next year will see the park become home to three new flats. Chessington - *Sea Life *new theater Legoland - *Digger Challenge. *Land of the Viking's, featuring Viking River Splash + Longboat Invader. *Kingdom of the Pharo's, featuring Laser Riders and Scarab Bouncers. Pleasure Beach Blackpool - *Infusion *Adventure Golf *Amazing Dancing Fountains *All new Art Deco Entrance and Bar. Drayton Manor - *The Bounty *Thomas Land *Curse of Skull rock 4D This is another park which is also rumoured to be getting a brand new coaster next year... And at the moment the two main contenders are a new Mack Launched Coaster, or a Intamin Mega-Lite!!! Lightwater Valley - *Hornets Nest *Lightwater Wheel *Wild River Rapids Flamingo Land - *Splash Battle + Kidtums Friendly Splish Splosh. *Flip Flop *Mumbo Jumbo - The worlds Steepest coaster! Other things to remember are... *It may be your last chance to come try out Knightmare at Camelot *Paultons park has the brand new Edge. I also have a couple of fun small parks to recommend for the trip which you may or may not wish to pay a visit: *Wicksteed park - Has a set of Nautic Jets *Devon's Crealy - Fun little kiddie coaster, pirate ship and log flume. Also I know how much you guys love playing so it has a mini Aqua Play, bumper boats, Go-Karts, A Bridge Challenge and several large indoor play barns designed for young and old. Trust me they may not sound great but they are serious fun! http://www.crealy.co.uk/devon/ *Woodlands - http://www.woodlandspark.com Once again more of a family park, with a large pirate ship, The Tornado-a huge toboggan run down the hill side and the Uk's largest Play centre. Not forgetting the legendary Cyclone Watercoasters, three dingy slides down the hill which get you absolutely drenched (not designed with Dan in mind ). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hwP5G5YkFQ they don't look much, but they are actually really fast when you have two adults in them! There is also The Giant 60ft, 1 tonne sliding teatray of doom... Also know as Avalanche, (Crealy and Woodlands are only around an hours drive apart so could potentially both be done in one day.) Obviously, as I am fully aware you all already know all of this stuff... But I am just trying to make my point there are so many new things for you to come and try out in the UK Next year. I just love seeing your amazingly hilarious outlook on the parks really. So please come back to the Uk soon!
  8. I mean UK Must be Thorpe, Pleasure Beach or Paultons... As they are the only ones open this week. My bet is on Thorpe as it is the opening of Saw!
