  1. The reason the 'Alone' house has the theme of Minotaur Storage is due to the ancient greek tale of the labyrinth of the Minotaur. You was sent in alone to go and defeat the minotaur. I think it's pretty clever how they tie in their stories. Some great photos in here though!!
  2. I'm quite looking forward to how this baby will turn out. If it gives you that 'close-up' feeling with animals that the River ride at Flamingoland does, it'll be fantastic. Obviously, if they are planning that up-close personal theme with the animal encounters, then I'm sure that Busch will try and push the boundaries a little more then just floating by a lion exhibit (reference to the boat ride). I mean, it seems like they are trying to push and get known with their new rides and attractions lately, just look at the 'Alone' concept for Howl-O-Scream. Such a novel yet simple response to that 'alone feeling'.
  3. I totally understand where you're coming from. They're on a fine line with what they're saying, extremely bold statements. It wouldn't surprise me if they try and enforce at least one of the three tules at the beginning of the season, or at least on the Thirteen Weekend. But hey, you know what they say 'Even bad publicity is good publicity'.
  4. I agree about Nemesis, back row Nemesis at night was one of the most intense ride experiences of my life. Some more notable coasters that were pretty insane at night are: Dragon Khan, Port Aventura. It was unbelievably intense and you really had no clue where you was about on the ride's layout. Another at Port Aventura was Furius Back. To be honest, it's extremely intense in the day time anyway, but when you ride in the night when it literally has NO lighting at all on 90% of it's layout, it just becomes in another league. It was a little too intense in sections. I also quite like Oblivion on a night time as well, I think the limited lighting on it also enhances the ride itself.
  5. I think that as soon as the news was released of Merlin buying out this park, it was obvious from the pre-set that they was going to add it to the 'Legoland' franchise so to speak. This could be a good re-theme or it could be an utter dreaded change. I'll explain, It seems to me from looking at the park that it's a nicely landscaped and minimilisticaly (Minimal theming) themed park. This to me (from looking at pictures) really screams out to be a true small American park. Now if the exchange isn't done with precise execution it could wreck the whole look of the park and look as though they really have just 'Planted the logo brand on the park'. If they make sure to take care, attention to detail and make it look like it's a 'New Legoland Park' from scratch then this will be a major triumph. It wouldn't surprise me if Merlin buys out Terra Mitica either. I mean, it's up for sale and in a prime position in Benidorm. I'm not saying turn it into a 'Legoland' as that really wouldn't fit the park, but maybe start a new concept altogether? That's where I stand on this situation.
  6. No it doesn't. To be honest, the only reason they have released this 'information' in the Press Release is to conjure up some wild rumours so they can promote the ride further due to WOM (Word Of Mouth). A lot of attractions and parks do this, I mean that's what teasers are for, they are there to give a little tiny section of information but leave the rest to your own imagination. So yes, I wouldn't expect you to sign a disclaimer, be over the age of 18 or only ride once per day, it's just marketing and publicity for Thirteen. Mark.
