So I keep reading on other sites and a number of YouTube post that this is a Premier. No where was the manufacturer mentioned or identified. The track does not look like their normal track stock. And the press release identified Westcoast customs being involved with the car design, I assume there body work not the actual chassis. The rendering guys more the style of the new vekoma designs. Is anyone aware yet of the actual manufacturer?

One of the best things about this whole announcement, is how well Six Flags kept it out of the Enthusiast hands. With all the different leaks and speculation posted out there they really outdid themselves and I believe they are delivering a true winner for the park. Great job Six Flags your whole adrenaline alley concept will surely draw guest back to that area of the park again well done.

I allow them to line Jump, Then I find where they went and I invite everybody that was behind me and in front of me to go ahead of them, essentially keeping all of our places in the same position but it places them right at the back of the line. The Parks have policies about line jumping the general public should report it and have the job of their security and force the policies as they're listed for us all to read and abide by.

I agree we will probably only see all 4 rides opoerating at the same time on media day only or maybe a few days afterwards. But in what was posted and read on other sites it seemed as thought the mechanical function of the drop tower was going to be installed so both sides lifted and dropped together. Which if this is the case it moves the line slower, and if one side needed maintenance would it close the other side also? Either way its a great addition that is needed, now if SFMM can only create a land of flats in the park. Its sad so many other 6F parks have plenty of flats to balance the park and MM still with quality landspace has a very limited and outdated collection.

Just a quick question or thought. In the video rendering when released by a park it usually pretty accurate in detail as we noticed by the color scheme of the carriage. Its been noted that both carriages will work in unison together versus operating independently. I believe screamscape recently was reporting this on their site. However in the video rendering it appears they do operate in their own instance. It would seem this would be better for capacity reasons versus waiting for both to load and drop and reload in one cycle. At any rate i congratulate MM for adding a drop tower / flat ride, the complaining of construction or color scheme has no or little effect on the GP who will come out to ride the largest drop. Keep in mind the closest thing you can do to this type of freefall besides sky-diving, bunging jumping at this height comes with a very large upcharge. Thanks MM for raising the bar once again.

Its a great Six Flags day, and as i mentioned prior to the announcement two towers were going to be built i just didn't get the full details on how or where. So with that being said I'm going to trust my source and say we are all going to be happy in the near future for Deja Vu's spot, i'll post what i know and can reveal later in the week. Six flags is on the rebound despite the economy and i'm gladd MM is my home park.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride
mushrumjaz replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I just watched the ABC 7 report. Here is a link to see it online, pretty good looking ride, with on-ride footage. http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/video?id=6826064 -
Just a thought but I had thought M. Shapiro noted in his newspaper article a Coaster for 2010, and then Wiggles World for the anniversary he stated nothing on a coaster and it would have appeared if the man who truly knows was going to mention anything regarding 2010 and then the anniversary hewould have spilled it at that time. IMO the park needs to focus on flats, I would rather see land cleared for a land of Huss Giants or something. I visit the park frequently with friends who come from out of town and while I enjoy the coasters after a day of ups and downs, side to side and roll overs it would be a nice feeling to put ones body in a different type of movement, rotation and forces. Add real flats to this park will ease lines, create a more friendly view of the park and only increase in added fun. Keep the coasters coming but balance the park out more....IMO only

Track Spotted in SO CAL
mushrumjaz replied to mushrumjaz's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Ok i feel better that someone else has seen the same. It is crated for shipping and at first i thought it was vekoma as well but after looking at their website it does not appear to be what I saw today. I checked S&S thinking it maybe the coaster going to the racetrack but its completly different stock. I hope to get pictures in the morning, i have the digital set, and I do know that the ships leave the harbor usually on Wednesday and Thursday considering the trucks i saw go by today I would think a few more will be headed my way in the morning. -

So I did a little follow up over the weekend. Living close to the harbor I drove over the bridges a few times and to no luck did I see any track that I first reported. Fast forward to Tuesday morning at 8:15 as I was driving to work on the 710. I counted a total of 3 trucks heading towards the harbor, with a total of 4 sections of track. All black, no supports only track. Again I was trying to get the pic with my cell phone but was caught by suprise when they went past me. I will have my camera tomorrow as its my day off and I'll venture out to try and get some shots. -

Thanks Eric for the correction I did mean Premier, as I was looking at both companies websites including arrow to see what i could really match from memory. The ties really stood and caught my attention. As for heading South on the 710 to San Diego that would not be a traveled path for a Semi. It would be straight down the 405. I'll keep it posted if I can find anything tomorrow. -
Ok I don't post much but I make it a habit to read the forums each day. I am a manager at LAX and line in Long Beach. As i drove to work this morning I got on the 710 heading Northbound. Just as I passed the Sepulveda exit on the freeway as traffic was at a standstill due to a morning accident. I looked to the Southbound lanes and sitting right across from me was a semi pulling a trailer that combo's as a railroad car. It cared 1 single piece of black curved track. I was trying to get a picture however the southbound traffic was moving at a decent pace and could'nt get anything on my cell phone that was viewable. 1) the track was black and had the same construction as a Vekoma very much like The Mummy coaster. 2) Since it was heading south into the port of San Pedro I wanted to know if any other coasters track is fabricated in the US that is possibly being shipped out. 3) I will be keeping the lookout this weekend as i go across the port often to see if I can spot anything. The only other track this could belong to would be S&S-Arrow.....it was in no way a BM that I was sure of. $) Anyone living in the southbay keep an eye out just incase.

The images/videos posted above are very easy to duplicate. Most of the effects pictured are items I currently have. As for music selection, here is a breakdown on music choice and facts. The music typically played does not feature vocals as you would find on everyday radio air played music. When any establishment broadcast music of that type there are heavy fee's associated with using commercialized music. Everything from BMG to royalties get paid out, whereas underground music as well music created by groups like crystal Methos, Darude, ETC. have provided their music for common use. ASs well havinhg been a DJ and a night club owner music selection is very critical. As much as it would be nice to pump today's current radio hits, we all know how music like rap, hip hop and other genere's can lead to altercations as well. Don't get me wrong in any sense that i would play TECHNO as its being refered to here. There are many cuts out there that can be played that would fit for all types of people musical choices. In no way would this take away from the ride or the experience, and as for cost. Thats the parks determination on how far trhey want to go. Someone like me who has a complete mobile set up could do a set up and tear down in a matter of 1-2 hours. It would probably cost more to plant trees to keep you shaded versus having a once in awhile ride enhancement. Seeing what the possible fire effect that was posted on screamscape today may look like, added with a strobe and lasars would surely highten the excitement....D'journey

While I'm not a particular fan of that brand of 'High energy music' I love this idea. In fact, every time I looked up at that bridge over the middle of the loading area I thought "That looks like a DJ Platform at an expensive night club" Even if it was just a few times a year, like how they run colossus backwards every now and then, I think this has some serious potential. Say during the weekend over spring break, and Memorial & Labor day weekends? I have been working on a letter to offer to SFMM to test the idea for utilizing a DJ along with club-lighting either in the loading station with music being broadcast through the que areas. Fully understanding that the que line, the wait, the views of the ride in action and themeing if any all are part of the build up to the ride itself. The music is just another part of getting the crowd amp'd, excited and anticipating the ride. This is the main reason most ride que music is of the dance type, due to its build up of energy. My idea to want to do this is so not to let my equipment just go to waste as well i think it will really enhance the experience and enthusiasm on any particular ride capable of enough room to accomodate the equipment. I agree Ihave always looked up at X's operators bridge and thought about dropping my turntables up there and firing 2 to 4 lasars across the roof in a cloud of smoke creating a liquid sky. So lets see if SFMM is open for a regular season pass holder who just wants to have fun and make it better is open to ideas from us the GP....D'Journey the record has spun

hey everyone~ Its been awhile since i have posted but I tend to read the MM Forum daily. I have been thinking and decided to see your thoughts on an idea. I have visited Cedar point a few times as well many international parks long ago. I work in the airlines and have the luxury to travel for little cost. At many parks awhile back they utilized DJ's either in the que or in the ride loading areas. Give the size of X2's loading area, and que what would be the feeling to have a DJ work on high capacity days for the park. I ask because i am a DJ that owns all his own equipment including High Tech muti-colored lasars and effect lighting far more impressive that whats found at Riddlers. if you remember the Lasar show that used to be done at the Theater I have the ability to do the same in the loading / unloading area, feed live mixed music into their soundsystem as well extend out over the que. I have collected my own equipment from being a mobile DJ and as it sits now in my garage going to waste I have thought about putting it to use. Having grown up in Europe i still carry the same high energy music the park plays through out its rides. I look for your general thoughts on this, as its not something I would wish to do all the time but to offer a change and variety during peak times for the park. Rob or even Jay if you read this your thoughts as well...D'journey let the record spin....
