Hate to be the one to break this to you Mike but Hard Rock Park will be closed this coming weekend due to the impending storm. (Myrtle Beach, SC – September 4, 2008) – Based on the National Weather Service issuing a hurricane watch for Horry County and the most recent advisory from Horry County Emergency Management, Hard Rock Park will be closed Friday, Sept. 5 thru Sunday, Sept. 7.

All I can say about this Hard Rock Blog is what in the sam hill have they been smoking and drinking cause I sure want some. I was abit speechless after reading what one of the owners of the site had to say that Hard Rock Park had better shows? I wonder if the seeing eye dog was drunk also? By the looks of her comment towards one of the mods over at Coasterfanatics in that Blog, she goes into major defense mode on his comment that he made. I thought I have seen some wild crap on coaster boards but this is abit out there.

Maybe it might be just me but what does the above post have to do with the topic Chris? Talk about a Wild Tangent.

I think it will be the brand new Breathalyze Station along with the brand new security cells to lock up people who get wrote up for stupid rule violations.

Nice Trip Report! I agree that the park is in need of some help and maybe with the opening of Max:RPM will add it. It did open this saturday afternoon from what I have been told.

The Park announce two weeks ago that they would be closed last week and this week mon-wed for fine tuning. They updated the calander when it was announced they where closing also. But if you have called in the past few days to ask them if they will be open and they said yes than you might be good to go. If not then you always have Family Kingdom that will be open for sure.
